Tonight, before heading to bed, I found myself replaying one of the most emotional matches I’ve ever watched. It wasn’t just another WWE bout. It was the farewell of my idol, John Cena. On December 13, 2025, Cena officially retired from professional wrestling, closing the curtain on a legendary career that shaped not only WWE but also the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.
For me, this isn’t just news. It’s personal. No one can replace him in my heart.
John Cena has always been more than just a wrestler. He was a symbol of resilience, hard work, and never giving up, values that echoed every time he shouted his iconic mantra: “Never Give Up.”

Earlier tonight, I revisited one of his matches on YouTube. The energy, the crowd chanting his name, the moves that defined his career; it all reminded me why I chose him as my one and only idol in WWE. I even snapped a few photos and one short video from the TV while watching, just to hold onto the memory.
From his debut to his final bow, Cena gave everything to the sport and to us, the fans. And while I may not follow new idols in WWE, I’ll continue to relive his legacy through replays, highlights, and memories.
Thank you, John Cena, for the countless moments of joy, inspiration, and passion you brought into my life. And thank you, readers, for sharing this reflection with me. Cena may have retired, but his spirit will never fade from the WWE universe or from our hearts.
