Happy Sunday Fellas,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Mine was actually with so much workloads but thank God I am here again to air my views and thoughts again!
I was literally praying yesterday while following the updates on Arsenal's match against Aston Villa, I was seriously expecting an equalizer from Aston Villa but unfortunately for me and luckily for Arsenal, it all when well for them and bad with my thoughts.
At this point, I think I am losing hope of United make the top 4 this season already, there are just so many obstacles and the most painful is the fact that United might not even win half of the matches left; that now brings me to the thought of having United going to play the Conference Europa League season, and that's just going to be so ridiculous and somehow, I don't think Ronaldo would still be at United to experience such a thing.
United's next match is Leicester at old Trafford, I could still remember how dirty and annoying the first leg was and watching Leicester City triumph over Brentford today, I just feel the best result United might be getting would be a draw except there be a shocking performance more like a miracle.
Same next month, after Leicester City, United would be taking on Everton at Goodison Park and that's another match I can't boast that United can win. Watching 10 men Everton having a win against Newcastle few days ago was more like me getting scared for United already.
I must say that Lampard, though has spent just little time at Everton and doesn't have good results to talk of yet but then, considering United's current form and crisis, it could be another match for United's fan to cry for. Everton to have couple of players that are good at shocking big teams.
Flashing back to the first leg at old Trafford, I could remember Martial add a first half goal but then the same problem of not being able to score more goals held united down to settle for a draw.
Then, Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison weren't available and united still conceded a goal and yet couldn't win, it only gives me enough to be sacred of now that both Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are both fit to play but then, United is still the bigger team, we just need to wait and see how it's going to turn out.
Another fear I have is that, Everton, though with two outstanding matches are still quite close to those having the relegation fight, and for now, I feel it's only Norwich one can easily say has relegated already as it stands and somehow, both Watford and Burnley could still fight for a place in the next season's EPL.
This was what I saw today, and I almost felt like not watching any United's matches for the rest of the season because I really don't know how possible it would be to out Arsenal who is currently 4 points ahead of us and still has an outstanding match. We could be lucky enough to have Tottenham smashed by Liverpool and probably draw some of the matches they've got left but with Arsenal.....
I just think we ourselves just have to win Arsenal at the Emirates to stand a chance in the top 4 race because I feel Chelsea is likely to favour Arsenal with a draw before having them host us at Wembley Stadium.
Football ought to be more if not purely entertainment but being a United fan this season had been one hell of a painful thing so far but I'm still waiting to see whether there'll be a light at the end of the tunnel! 😂
