Con el inicio de la Champions League esta semana, me percaté de algo muy llamativo, pues varios de los equipos mas influyentes de las 5 grandes ligas que acostumbran a jugar este torneo, por diferentes circunstancias, basadas principalmente en su rendimiento deportivo, este año no jugarán el torneo continental más importante a nivel de clubes.

También tuvieron la mala suerte del entorchado del Stuttgart por DFB Pokal, lo que les dió un puesto en Europa League, pese a quedar por debajo de la tabla.

La terrible situación actual del Sevilla es una las cosas que más me ha sorprendido, pues aunque nunca fueron una real amenaza para el trío dominante en España, sus finanzas y las decisiones que tomaban casi siempre eran acertadas, encontrando a muchos jugadores revelación, que no sólo les permitía sostener su sistema, sino además ser competitivos en Europa League, donde son los máximos ganadores.
