The MLB season is about to start... I am indifferent to this because of what happened in the offseason with the lockout and the fact that the start of the season was delayed. the owners are trying to keep control of every aspect of the financial gains that MLB can provide and they do NOT care about the players or the fans. For this fan, the biggest offender of this is the Dolans, who have controlling ownership of The Cleveland "Guardians", or as I prefer to call them, The Indians...
The Dolans have decimated the Cleveland Baseball team, and they need to sell it... they have enough money to build a contender, but have decided to lower the payroll to one of the league's lowest and do not seem to care about competing for a championship. Now comes the rumor this week of wanting to trade fan-favorite Jose Ramirez and this is the final straw for me. The Dolans had an opportunity to re-energize the fan base with the "forced" name change and the fact the Cleveland franchise is a "Pitching factory" to go out and make an impact in free agency and build a team that could compete for a World Series... but no they have decided to minimize payroll and not care about competing...
Until the Dolans sell, I am done with this franchise and with MLB as a whole because of the lockout... Bring on the NHL season, NBA Playoffs, the Majors in Golf, starting with The Masters this weekend, and the NFL Draft, which will occur at the end of this month. I refuse to support MLB and the "Guardians" because I am just disgusted.
Thanks...
