I'm not an Arsenal fan but with the way everything has been since last week, it's as if everyone in the world has been supporting Arsenal for a long time even when they have their different clubs as number 1. It feels so good to have seen Arsenal win the Premier League after a long while of 22 years of trying. When they won it in 2004, I wasn't into football, so I didn't know but with the way the narration has been going, it shows really well that it's been a very long time waiting for the Gunners.
That Tuesday night when Manchester City took on Bournemouth and it ended in a draw, I rooted greatly for Arsenal that night, I wanted Manchester City to lose or draw with Bournemouth so that it could be sealed for Arsenal. It happened, just like a joke, the 'almighty' Manchester City who were very much ready to trash Bournemouth to at least 3 unanswered goals, failed to win. They almost won Manchester City until towards the end of the match when Haaland scored an equaliser.
Yesterday being the final day of the English Premier League, Arsenal lifted the trophy and it was all love and reds. Even the Crystal Palace fans, where the event happened couldn't just stay off, they all joined in the fun. It was massive.
