The Moroccans have lit up this World Cup with an unexpected run to the semi-finals, the first African team to do so may i add.. Their hopes of a shock triumph were crushed by defending champions France in a very competitive and thrilling semi-finals.
Morocco quickly became everyones favourite underdog with some amazing performances against Portugal, Spain and Belgium on their way to the semis.
Their fairytale run came to an end last night against a well drilled and flamboyant pre-tournement favourites France. Thats not to say that the scoreline was representative of the game!! Morocco pushed the reigning world champions all the way. Creating chances(which they should have scored) and even hitting the woodwork with a spectacular overhead bicycle kick.
