G'day tribe, I've got an epic series ahead, the biggest and most hate filled football derbies. The biggest derbies in football are as a result of geographical, political and social differences, or simply out of envy. Let's take a look at the biggest rivalries in football.
15. Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund
The Der Klassiker is one of the top football derbies in the world between the two most successful German clubs. The continued domination of Bayern further fuels the rivalry which peaked at the 2013 Champions League Final.

14. Liverpool vs. Everton
Like all the biggest derbies in football the Merseyside Derby attracts violence especially because of the proximity of Liverpool and Everton. Both clubs are based in Liverpool and their home grounds are only 970 metres apart!

13. Sporting Lisbon vs. Porto
The O Clássico is one of the top derbies in football between two of Portugal's largest cities. The different classes of supporters has led to one of the biggest rivalries in football. Benfica struggled financially from their beginnings and represents the working class. Sporting represents a traditionally wealthier fanbase.
As a Sporting fan it pains me to say that the best 2 way rivalry in world soccer is Benfica and Porto. Almost every year the title comes down to a game like this. Stunning winner by the Mexican. https://t.co/zDMByukKNs

12. Arsenal vs. Tottenham
Arsenal's move into Tottenham's territory in 1919 set the platform for one of the biggest rivalries in football. The stadiums of the North London rivals are only 4 miles (6.4 km) apart and both sets of supporters are obsessed with finishing above each other in the league.

11. Roma vs. Lazio
Italy's capital clubs Roma and Lazio both share Stadio Olimpico and the divide between the fanbases has created one of the biggest derbies in the world. In 1927 Italy's fascist leadership merged Rome's clubs to restore the city to its former glory, forming Roma. Lazio resisted the merger and are therefore seen as "outsiders".
