Mi cuñada hace unos meses compró un ventilador de pedestal y hace unos días estaba presentando una falla, no estaba girando con suficiente fuerza, aunque se le colocara en su mayor velocidad.

My sister in law a few months ago bought a pedestal fan and a few days ago it was presenting a failure, it was not spinning hard enough, even if it was placed in its highest speed.

Hoy me llama para decirme que el ventilador se detuvo y que daba un olor a recalentado. Ella a parte de ser la hermana de mi esposa es mi vecina, la tengo justo al lado, como dice la canción.

Today she calls me to tell me that the fan stopped and that it was giving off an overheated smell. She besides being my wife's sister is my neighbor, I have her right next door, as the song says.

Lo traigo a casa para chequearlo y hacerle su mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo, por acá les dejo el procedimiento que realicé.

I bring it home to check it and do its preventive and corrective maintenance, here is the procedure I performed.

Al comenzar a desarmar note que el aspa estaba un poco dura, esto indica uno de sus problemas a corregir, procedí a sacar los broches de su primera rejilla, el tornillo del aspa y procedemos a sacarla. Luego los tornillos de la segunda rejilla y los tornillos que la sujetan de la parte plástica que protege al motor.

When I started to disassemble I noticed that the blade was a little hard, this indicates one of the problems to correct, I proceeded to remove the snaps of the first grille, the screw of the blade and proceed to remove it. Then the screws of the second grille and the screws that hold it to the plastic part that protects the engine.

Retiramos la parte de plástico de la parte de atrás del ventilador, pero antes sacamos el tornillo que se encuentra dentro del broche que hace que el ventilador gire o esté fijo y removemos ambas piezas.

We remove the plastic part of the back part of the fan, but first we remove the screw that is inside the snap that makes the fan rotate or is fixed and we remove both pieces.

En la parte de atrás del motor se encuentra un envase donde están unos engranaje, retiramos sus tornillos y sacamos su tapa, colocamos grasa a los engranaje y bocina con cuidado, solo un poco de grasa automotriz.

In the back part of the motor there is a container where there are some gears, we remove the screws and take off the cover, we put grease to the gears and horn carefully, just a little bit of automotive grease.

Nos dirigimos a la parte delantera donde está el eje y con un gotero le echamos unas gotas de aceite a la bocina, procedemos a armar, los tornillos se ajustan con poca fuerza para no dañar las roscas que son de plásticos.
