Hello friends, lovers of engines and mechanics, today is my first post, because I really like the mechanics and I want to talk about how to correct an oil leak from the valve cover of a Chery Arauca 2015. This leak must be corrected to prevent damage to the alternator and falling on the hot engine generates a very unpleasant smell of burning in addition to the smoke it produce
Lo primero que hice fue desconectar los cables de la bujías identificando para luego colocarlos donde corresponde, luego procedí a desconectar una manguera de enfriamiento, para después desmontar el sistema de purificación de aire del motor.
The first thing I did was to disconnect the spark plug wires identifying then place them where appropriate, then proceeded to disconnect a cooling hose, and then disassemble the air purification system of the engine.
Una vez retirado el sistema de purificación retire el múltiple con mucha precaución y procedí a extraer los tornillos del tapa válvula.
Once the purification system was removed, I carefully removed the manifold and proceeded to remove the valve cover screws.
Seguidamente hice la limpieza usando un poco de gasolina, para colocar el nuevo sello del tapa válvula, mientras hacía la revisión y limpieza note que una manguera de la válvula PVC se estrangulaba lo cual impedía la saluda de los gases del motor.
Then I did the cleaning using a little gasoline, to place the new valve cover seal, while doing the review and cleaning I noticed that a hose of the PVC valve was strangulated which prevented the health of the gases from the engine.
En vista de que salí a buscar esa manguera y me parece que los costos eran muy elevados (15$) para una manguera de unos 20 centímetros, se me ocurrió comprar un resorte universal del mismo diámetro interior de la manguera y solo pague 3 $, lo introduje en la manguera de manera que esta no se estrangule al trabajar expulsado los gases del motor por la válvula PVC.
In view of the fact that I went out to look for that hose and it seemed to me that the costs were very high (15$) for a hose of about 20 centimeters, it occurred to me to buy a universal spring of the same inner diameter of the hose and I only paid 3 $, I introduced it in the hose so that this one does not become strangulation when working expelled the gases of the motor by the PVC valve.
Luego de corregir esta falla inesperada, procedi a montar el nuevo sello.
After correcting this unexpected failure, I proceeded to mount the new seal.
