Hello everyone, I want to share with everyone how I replaced a damaged shock absorber in my vehicle.
My tricycle of over two years old began to develop issues from the shock. The shock absorber couldn't absorbed when driving on a bumpy route. Besides, the fluid in the shock was licking thereby reducing its capacity to absorb pressure while on the wheel.
The shock absorber is an important and integral part of a vehicle. It helps a vehicle to absorb compression and pressure.
However, the processes of replacing the shock absorber are,
First of all, remove the front tire to give you access to losing the shock nuts.
After which you lose the nut and bolt that holds the shock from the base of the camber.
Repeat the same process on the upper base of the shock absorber located at the front bumper of the tricycle
From here, the old shock absorber is successfully removed.
A new shock absorber is fixed and the bolt and nut are being tightened and from there the tire is replaced.
how to know that your shock absorber is bad in your tricycle.
- The vehicle will bounce while riding
- It will take time before the vehicle will come to a halt when braking.
- If you drive on a bumpy road, the steering will vibrate.
A bad shock absorber will affect the proper working of a vehicle. So it's advisable to fix it when it began to show signs of malfunctioning.
