Now, today, Friday, we have made significant progress and every day we are closer to achieving our goal of getting the car in top mechanical condition.

As you know, last week the engine was disassembled and today we finally started to assemble a part of it, the bottom part. Since the pistons were placed inside the cylinders after having changed the rings, the glands were placed, and the crankcase gasket was placed and the lower part of the engine was assembled.

We have already paid half of the labor cost (100$ USD) and in spare parts up to this point we have spent 86$ USD, only remains to be purchased:

• Chamber gasket
• Exhaust gaskets
• Oil filter
• 4 liters of oil
• 4 spark plugs

And finish paying for the second half of the labor. This week, my task is to get the missing parts and we are planning to have Bee back by Saturday of the following week. As I told you this is the first time that we have our own car and the repair is being done here at home, so I have not left the mechanic's side when he comes as I have learned about the operation of the parts that make up the engine, plus the mechanic who gives us the service is a super nice guy and has no problem in explaining each process and procedure he has done, and in my opinion he is doing a good job.

PS: THE mechanic's assistant is his son, a young man who at first glance you can see that he helps his father with the best of dispositions and that good, I feel that with his help his father helps him to bring food home and also that he learns a trade, today talking while they were assembling the engine they asked me what I did, and I did not hesitate to promote Hive, and I told him about this community of #Hivemotors, and I think that the young man caught his attention. Actualización sobre el progreso de reparación

Saludos amigos de Hive, hoy quiero contarles como hemos avanzado en la reparación del motor de nuestro auto. La semana pasada les comenté el por qué y cómo llegamos al punto de reparar el motor de “Bee”. Pincha aquí para ir al post que te estoy comentanto. Ahora bien. hoy viernes hemos avanzado significativamente y cada día estamos más cerca de lograr nuestra meta de tener al auto en óptimas condiciones de mecánica.

Hemos tenido la suerte y la bendición de no toparnos con mayores inconvenientes, como saben la semana pasada se desarmó el motor y hoy por fín se comenzó a armar una parte, se pudiese decir que la parte de abajo. Ya que se colocó los pistones dentro de los cilindros luego de haberle cambiado los anillos, se le colocaron las estoperas, y se le colocó la empacadura del carter y se armó esta parte de abajo del motor.

Ya hemos cancelado la mitad del costo de la mano de obra (100$ USD) y en repuestos hasta este punto hemos gastado 86$ USD, solo queda por comprar:

• Empacadura de la cámara
• Empacaduras del escape
• Filtro de Aceite
• 4 Litros de aceites
• 4 Bujías

Y terminar de pagar la segunda mitad de la mano de obra. En esta semana, mi tarea es conseguir esto que falta y proyectamos que para el día sábado de la siguiente semana poder tener a Bee de regreso. Como les he comentado esta es la primera vez que tenemos un auto propio y la reparación la están haciendo acá mismo en casa, así que no me he apartado del mecánico cuando viene ya que he aprendido sobre el funcionamiento de las piezas que conforman el motor, además que el mecánico que nos presta el servicio es un señor super amable y no tiene ningún inconveniente en explicar cada proceso y procedimiento que ha hecho, y a mi parecer está haciendo un buen trabajo.

PD: EL ayudante del mecánico es su hijo, un joven que a simple vista se ve que ayuda a su padre con la mejor de las disposiciones y que bueno, siento que con su ayuda a su padre le ayuda a llevar el alimento a casa y además que aprende un oficio, hoy hablando mientras armaban el motor me preguntaron a qué me dedicaba, y no dudé en promocionar a Hive, y le comenté de esta comunidad de #Hivemotors, y creo que al joven le llamó la atención. Hay una posibilidad que en un futuro tengamos a ese joven y posteando sobre sus trabajos mecánicos por acá.
