Paso de nuevo por acá para contarles que llevé el carro a alinear porque desde hace varios días le sentía un leve jalón hacia un lado mientras conducía.
La alineación de un vehículo es un trabajo que se ve sencillo, porque está controlado de manera computarizada, pero es un chequeo muy importante que debemos realizar para garantizar una marcha segura y evitar el desgaste irregular de los cauchos.
Una pregunta que siempre me ha inquietado es la frecuencia con que debemos alinear el vehículo. Le consulté a mi mecánico y esto fue lo que me respondió:
- Alinear cada 10000 km o dos veces al año
- Cuando se sientan tirones del volante hacia uno u otro lado.
- Cuando se le cambian los cauchos al carro.
- Cuando el carro ha sido chocado
- Cuando se le hacen trabajos en el tren delantero como cambio de amortiguadores o elementos de la dirección
- Cuando se oyen ruidos al mover el volante o durante la marcha.
Lo mejor de la alineación es que las personas que la realizan están preparados para verificar primero el funcionamiento del tren delantero. Si consiguen algo que no esté funcionando de manera adecuada te llaman y te lo explican para que cambies la pieza y luego puedas alinear sin problema. En algunos casos, las mismas personas de la alineación te hacen el trabajo del tren delantero y luego lo alinean.
Estas cosas es bueno saberlas porque hay personas malintencionadas que se aprovechan del desconocimiento público para estafar a los clientes.
