Hello there, all the vehicle lovers! I hope you're all having fun writing posts about your bad experience involving mechanics and reading all of the posts that people are sharing in this community. First and foremost, I'd like to thank #OCD for supporting various niche communities in Hive. It's a fantastic initiative that will benefit communities like Hive Motors.
I starting writing blogs in Hive a couple of weeks ago and came to know about contests that OCD arrange weekly basis. I love to participate in the contest and also love to read blogs from other people. When OCD announced a new competition, I was thinking that I would not be able to write anything about it because I don't have much experience with cars. I live far away from my homeland, and in this country, I always take public transportation, so I've never had a bad experience with a car. Then I remembered something that happened to me at home five years ago.
My entire family and I went on a trip to the northwestern part of Bangladesh after Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the most important religious festivals for Muslims. There were ten of us in total. We had two automobiles one from my brother and another one from my sister. We were on our way home after three days of travel, but something terrible happened on the way. It was a very hot day, I recall. After a couple of hours in the cars, we were ready for a break. The countryside was lovely.
When we returned to our journey after a short break, we discovered that my brother's car would not start. My brother and I opened the car's hood and found that everything was in good condition. We don't have much experience with engines, to be honest, and everything is cheap in Bangladesh; if you have a problem, you go to a car mechanic. But it was after the holidays, and nothing seemed to work. My sister's car had already driven a long distance, but we called her and drove her back to our location. Me, my brother and my brother in law stayed there and put the other seven members of our family in sesters car. We were looking for a mechanic in the middle of nowhere. Then I went to find a nearby market to buy rope so that another car can pull our car. One friendly local guy came to rescue and he helped me to find one shop where I bought rope. He also helped us to find a mechanic. However, the mechanic was not in the workshop because of the holiday but he wanted to help us and he came to his workshop.
He said we have an oil leakage problem after a quick look inside the car. My brother had neglected to inspect his car for a long time, which led to this incident. The engine stalls as a result of the oil leak. The steering components, according to our mechanic, had deteriorated. It took him about two hours to solve the problems. He just made it possible for us to get to our destination, and then we'll have to take our car in for serious repairs.
Unfortunately, due to the incident that occurred with us, I do not have any pictures of our car from that day. My brother used to drive a Mazda 6 at that time.
Thank you for stopping by :))
