Hola amigos de #Hivemotors espero que estén todos muy bien primera vez que público por acá y estoy realmente muy emocionado de poder compartir con ustedes lo que hice el día de hoy en mi carro Malibu.
No me defino como un gran mecánico, me ha tocado aprender ya que he podido tener carro desde hace mucho y con el tiempo me ha tocado ir aprendiendo un poco de la mecánica automotriz, actualmente tengo un carro Malibu del año (1979) tiene ya varios meses que no le metía la mano jajaja como quien dice, pero desde hace días he estado desarmando parte del tren delantero para ir haciendo sus respectivos mantenimientos e ir activandolo poco a poco, hoy pude desarmar los espirales y recogerlos para bajar un poco la altura del carro.
La cosa se me complicó un poco porque saqué los espirales y un vecino me ofreció la máquina de recoge espirales así que Confiado me puse a desarmar y cuando fui donde el vecino a recoger los espirales pues el hombre no pudo prestarme la máquina luego un amigo me dijo que podíamos recogerlos con alambre, así que fui a la ferretería compré el alambre y fui al local de mi amigo para recoger los espirales.

I have been disassembling part of the front axle to go doing their respective maintenance and go activating it little by little, today I
could disassemble the coils and pick them up to lower the height of the car a little.
The thing got a little complicated because I removed the coils and a neighbor offered me the coil picker machine so I confidently started to disassemble and when I went to the neighbor to pick up the coils because the man could not lend me the machine then a friend told me that we could pick them up with wire, so I went to the hardware store bought the wire and went to my friend's place to pick up the coils.
Lo primero que hice fue colocar los espirales en una máquina que se llama prensa, aquí en este local trabajan con la reparación de amortiguadores y utilice esta máquina para recoger de forma manual los espirales, luego de aplicar presión con la prensa entorche con alambre la parte de los espirales que iba a recoger, este paso lo realice varias veces ya que es un proceso bastante peligroso porque se corre el riesgo de que el espiral rompa las suturas del alambre y salga disparado.
Fui aplicando presión a medida que iba sujetando con el alambre repetí este proceso varias veces hasta llegar al nivel adecuado para montarlo en el carro.
The first thing I did was to place the coils in a machine called press, here in this place they work with the repair of shock absorbers and use this machine to manually pick up the coils, after applying pressure with the press I twisted with wire the part of the coils that I was going to pick up, this step was done several times because it is a very dangerous process because there is a risk that the coil breaks the sutures of the wire and comes out shooting.
I applied pressure as I was holding with the wire and repeated this process several times until I reached the right level to mount it on the carriage.
Luego que ya estaba en el carro me dispuse a montarlo, lo coloque en la meseta y con un gato hidráulico le di presión para luego colocar el muñón superior y el muñón inferior, luego se coloca la punta de eje a la cual se le hizo mantenimiento y engrase, luego coloque el disco, después las mordazas de los frenos y sus respectivas pastillas de frenos y por último se monta el lápiz que sujeta la barra estabilizadora con sus respectivas gomas.
After it was already in the car I set out to assemble it, place it on the plateau and with a hydraulic jack I gave pressure and then place the upper trunnion and the lower trunnion, then placed the axle tip which was made maintenance and greasing, then place the disc, then the brake calipers and their respective brake pads and finally mounted the pencil that holds the anti-roll bar with their respective rubbers.
La verdad es que leyendo todo se ve muy fácil y rápido el proceso pero fue bastante tedioso ya que tenía mucho tiempo que no me dedicaba a la mecánica pero ya poco a poco he podido ir recuperando mi carrito para tenerlo activo, y además de que no contaba con la herramienta necesaria para realizar el trabajo sin embargo se pudo solventar utilizando otros medios, ese fue todo el procedimiento les comparto una foto para que vean el resultado de cómo quedó y como obtuve la altura deseada, además le di una breve pulitura a los rines bastante rápida que compartiré en otro post con ustedes.
The truth is that reading everything looks very easy and fast process but it was quite tedious because I had a long time that I was not dedicated to the mechanics but I have been able to gradually recover my cart to have it active, and besides that I did not have the necessary tool to do the job but could be solved using other means, that was the whole procedure I share a photo to see the result of how it was and how I got the desired height, I also gave a brief polishing to the rims pretty fast that I will share in another post with you.
