They say over there, and it is very well stated, that to care is to love. And this is something that applies to everything in everyday life. Especially for material things that we have acquired through the effort of our work and planning throughout our lives.

In my country of residence, Venezuela, the acquisition of household appliances for home comfort has become very expensive and sometimes difficult to achieve. For this reason, the realization of preventive maintenance is necessary and urgent for the long-term preservation of what we already have in this area.

Preventive maintenance, as its name implies, ensures the prevention of any failure due to overuse without maintaining the parts of the equipment properly and, of course, extends the life of the equipment in question.

In my case, I was able to repair this console and air conditioning unit in my room, about two years ago, thanks to my work in Hive, which always fills me with great pride and happiness, because it is proven that this platform helps us every day to improve our quality of life from every point of view.

That is why I usually make the air conditioning equipment, two preventive maintenance during the year, which has prevented me from having to repair extra, components that may suffer and be damaged by the absence and care that provide such maintenance.

Dicen por allí y está muy bien enunciado, que cuidar es querer. Y es algo que se aplica para todo en el día a día. Sobre todo para aquello de corte material, y que hemos adquirido a base del esfuerzo de nuestro trabajo y planificación a lo largo de nuestra vida.

En mi país de residencia, Venezuela, la adquisición de equipos electrodomésticos para el confort en el hogar, se ha vuelto algo muy costoso y en ocasiones, difícil de lograr. Motivo por el cual, la realización de los mantenimientos de tipo preventivo, son necesarios e impostergables para la conservación a largo plazo, de lo que ya se tiene en cuanto a este rubro.

Los mantenimientos de tipo preventivo, garantizan como su nombre lo dice, prevención de cualquier avería por exceso de uso sin mantener las partes del equipo de forma adecuada y, por supuesto, alarga la vida útil del equipo en cuestión.

En mi caso, pude reparar esta consola y unidad de aire acondicionado de mi habitación, hace alrededor de dos años, gracias a mi trabajo en Hive, lo cual me llena siempre de mucho orgullo y felicidad, pues está comprobado que esta plataforma nos ayuda cada día a mejorar nuestra calidad de vida desde todo punto de vista.

Es por ello que suelo realizarle al equipo de aire acondicionado, dos mantenimientos preventivos durante el año, lo cual, me ha evitado tener que reparar de forma extra, componentes que puedan resentirse y dañarse por la ausencia y el cuidado que le proveen dichos mantenimientos.

The technician who attends to my air conditioner is the same one who repaired it at the beginning and did a great job reconstructing it, which is reflected in the proper functioning of the equipment during the time of continuous use in these years.

In the city where I live, the heat is our daily bread, we are in a coastal area and therefore, the use of air conditioning is more often and longer use for this reason, which is an additional reason to take good care of the equipment and ensure its continued operation.

Jose (the technician) is someone very professional and therefore always trusts their work, which, I cancel with great pleasure and I am always very satisfied with the results. This year, I was delayed in the corresponding time to perform the first maintenance, for many reasons of previous economic commitments and I could not send it to execute on the scheduled date, but a month later.

We began to feel that the cooling level was lower than normal and of course, it was because of the delayed maintenance, as the equipment accumulated a lot of dirt from the environment and was dirty, the performance level of course, lowers.

The pipes of the external part began to freeze and an abnormality appeared which was that the external unit remained on, even when the console was turned off, which of course, immediately alarmed me. At that very moment, I called the technician, who came the next day and after doing some tests told me that maybe it could be damage to the logic card of the internal console.

El técnico que atiende mi aire acondicionado, es el mismo que lo reparó en inicio y que hizo un gran trabajo reconstructivo, lo cual se refleja en el buen funcionamiento del equipo durante el tiempo de uso continuo en estos años.

En la ciudad donde resido, el calor es el pan nuestro de cada día, estamos en zona costera y por ende, el uso del aire acondicionado es más seguido y de mayor tiempo de uso por esta causa, lo cual es una razón adicional para cuidar de buena forma el equipo y garantizar su continuo funcionamiento.

José (el técnico) es alguien muy profesional y por ello siempre confío en sus trabajos, los cuales, cancelo con muchísimo gusto y me siento muy satisfecha siempre con los resultados. Este año, me retrasé en el tiempo correspondiente a realizar el primer mantenimiento, por muchas razones de compromisos económicos previos y no pude mandarlo a ejecutar en la fecha prevista, si no, un mes después.

Empezamos a sentir que el nivel de enfriamiento era más bajo de lo normal y por supuesto, que era a causa del mantenimiento retrasado pues, al acumular el equipo mucha tierra del ambiente y estar sucio, el nivel de rendimiento por supuesto, baja.

Se comenzaron a congelar las tuberías de la parte externa y se presentó una anormalidad que era el que se quedaba encendida la unidad externa, aun habiendo apagado la consola, lo cual por supuesto, enseguida me alarmó. En ese mismo momento, llamé al técnico, quien vino al día siguiente y después de hacer unas pruebas me dijo que quizás podría ser un daño en la tarjeta lógica de la consola interna.

This card (electronic component), is the one that commands all the functions of the equipment, ie, on the compressor, off the external unit, and others. When he told me that this could be the cause, I was terrified, because, by naming this type of component, it is usually synonymous that they can be expensive. I told the technician to come right away to take action.

The next day, he checked the component and gave it a thorough cleaning. It's worth noting how difficult this job is because they are very small and delicate components. But, thank God, José is a very experienced technician and he did it perfectly since the fault was corrected immediately, without having to change the card. That way, I could breathe again with a peace of mind.

However, we decided to schedule the maintenance of the equipment, taking advantage of this contingency, since, as I said at the beginning, it was presenting a decrease in the level of cooling, and this, was due to the lack of preventive maintenance due the previous month. We agreed to perform the maintenance and, the following day, it was carried out as usual.

The work had to be done in two days because José's assistant was indisposed and could not assist him, which is why he had to do it in two parts (i.e. in two days). However, everything went smoothly because, as I said, he is an excellent professional in his area and that guarantees a good job, without any doubt.

On the first day, he disassembled the internal console and performed the corresponding maintenance to the components, including the logic board. Then he proceeded to wash it with the hydro-jet equipment (high-pressure water in the form of a strong jet) and the respective cleaning solution. Once this washing was done, he let the console dry and proceeded to install it again in its place with all its respective connections.

Esta tarjeta (componente electrónico), es la que comanda todas las funciones del equipo, es decir, encendido del compresor, apagado de la unidad externa y otras. Al decirme que podría ser esto la causa, me aterré, pues, al nombrar este tipo de componentes, por lo general es sinónimo de que puedan ser costosos. Le dije al técnico que viniera enseguida para tomar acción al respecto.

Al día siguiente, revisó el componente y le realizó una limpieza minuciosa. Vale la pena resaltar lo dificultoso de este trabajo pues, son componentes muy pequeños y delicados. Pero, gracias a Dios, José es un técnico de mucha experiencia y lo realizó de forma perfecta ya que la falla corrigió de inmediato, sin necesidad de tener que cambiar la tarjeta. Por allí, pude volver a respirar con tranquilidad.

Sin embargo, decidimos programar el mantenimiento del equipo, aprovechando esta contingencia, ya que, estaba presentando como les dije al comienzo, una disminución en el nivel de enfriamiento y esto, debido a la falta del mantenimiento preventivo que le tocaba el mes anterior. Acordamos realizar el mantenimiento y, al día siguiente, se ejecutó de la forma acostumbrada.

El trabajo tuvo que realizarse en dos días ya que, el ayudante de José, estaba indispuesto y no pudo asistirlo, motivo por el cual, él tuvo que ejecutarlo en dos partes (o sea, en dos días). Sin embargo, todo se desenvolvió de la mejor manera ya que, como les dije, él es un excelente profesional en su área y eso garantiza un buen trabajo, sin duda alguna.

El primer día desmontó la consola interna y le realizó el mantenimiento correspondiente a los componentes, incluyendo la tarjeta lógica. Luego procedió a lavarla con el equipo de hidrojet (agua a presión alta en forma de chorro fuerte) y la solución de limpieza respectiva. Una vez realizado este lavado, dejo secar la consola y procedió a instalarla nuevamente en su lugar con todas sus respectivas conexiones.

That day, we could use the air conditioner normally because the next day, Joseph would finish the procedure with the washing of the external unit. To complete the service, the next day, the outdoor unit was washed, including the hive of the cells, which accumulate a lot of dust because it is located on the outside of the house.

He also checked the operation of the compressor and everything was fine. Besides he put in a new capacitor (the part that regulates the time on and off the compressor to protect it in terms of temperature). And finally measured the pressures to check the gas level in the equipment. This is done to know if the unit is lacking gas or was at normal levels.

Thanks to the maintenance (twice a year) that is made to the equipment, there was nothing new or failure, apart from the above. The air conditioner was up and running like new. That night we had to wrap up warm as the cooling level increased quite a bit after the unit was cleaned.

Preserving our home appliances is to love and value what we have acquired with so much effort since the realization of our work. Preventive maintenance done at the right time and in the right amount saves us from extra and unnecessary expenses that, at this time, are a setback in terms of our budget and family or individual economy.

It is very important to schedule and comply with at least two preventive maintenance per year, that is, one every six months. In this way, the proper functioning of the components will be guaranteed. Ese día, pudimos utilizar el aire acondicionado con normalidad ya que, al día siguiente, José terminaría el procedimiento con el lavado de.la unidad externa. Para completar el servicio, al otro día, se lavó la unidad externa, incluyendo la colmena de las celdillas, las cuales acumulan mucho polvo pues se encuentra en la parte del exterior de la casa.

También revisó el funcionamiento del compresor y todo estaba bien. Aparte le colocó un capacitor nuevo (pieza que regula el tiempo de encendido y apagado del compresor a fin de resguardarlo en cuanto a temperatura). Y por último midió las presiones para chequear el nivel de gas en el equipo. Esto se hace con la finalidad de saber si le falta gas a la unidad o estaba en niveles normales.

Gracias a los mantenimientos (dos veces al año) que se le realizan al equipo, no hubo ninguna novedad o falla, aparte de lo mencionado. El aire acondicionado quedó listo y como nuevo. Esa noche tuvimos que abrigarnos más pues el nivel de enfriamiento aumentó bastante después de la limpieza del aparato.

Preservar nuestros equipos electrodomésticos es querer y valorar lo que con tanto esfuerzo adquirimos desde la realización de nuestro trabajo. Los mantenimientos preventivos hechos en el momento y cantidad indicados, nos salvan de gastos extras e innecesarios que, en este tiempo, son una contrariedad en cuanto a nuestro presupuesto y economía familiar o individual.

Es muy importante programarse y cumplir al menos, con dos mantenimientos preventivos al año, o sea, uno cada seis meses. De esta forma se estará garantizando el buen funcionamiento de los componentes.
