En las motos un componente que periódicamente debe ser repuesto es el rodamiento; el piñón, corona y cadena por tracción y fricción tienden a desgastarse, pero cuando no se tiene el recurso para montarlos nuevos, entonces se aplican algunos medidas que den cierta holgura de tiempo para aplicar la solución óptima.

El rodamiento de la moto ya prácticamente ha cumplido su vida útil, la cadena ya no puede tensarse pues llego al máximo, la corona tiene desgaste pero aún puede trabajar, al igual que el piñón, pero por tener otras prioridades que no permiten comprarlos y montarlos nuevos, porque lo ideal es cambiar el kit completo, decidí recortar la cadena, quitarle un eslabón, pero es importante destacar que este tipo de medida aunque nos permite solucionar temporalmente, requiere tomar ciertas previsiones.

Sé que esto es algo que comúnmente hacemos los motorizados, pero a partir de esta decisión de recortar la cadena, hay que tomar en cuenta que la cadena igual va a continuar presentando problemas porque no ajusta en todos los dientes de la corona generando ruido, al recortar la cadena podemos tensarla y minimizar la posibilidad de que se zafé de la corona, pero esto acelera su estiramiento o desgaste, por lo que hay que estar pendiente. Es una condición insegura y muy peligrosa si se corre a alta velocidad porque si se pela la cadena es común que frene la rueda trasera y no son pocos los accidentes por esto. Entonces debemos conducir a baja velocidad en mi caso máximo 50 k/h, sé que puedo correr más pero quiero ser precavido, además en estos próximos 45 o 60 días, tiempo en que podré cambiar el kit de rodamiento, voy a revisar y ajustar la tensión de la cadena periódicamente. Lo importante es mantener operativo mi medio de transporte favorito sin descuida la seguridad.
