Saludos amigos de Hive, hace un tiempo atrás en otros post les he contado sobre como he ido desarrollando mi plan mantenimiento y reparación total de mi vehículo Volkswagen crossfox 2008, algunos trabajos lo han realizado mecánicos conocidos, otros para ocupar mi tiempo de pre-jubilación los he realizado yo, especialmente aquellos que no me exigen gran esfuerzo físico y algo de conocimiento tecnológico, está vez decidí hacer una reparación que para alguien con experiencia práctica es muy sencillo, como lo es reparar el tren delantero, pero se me dificultó esa tarea.

Greetings friends of Hive, some time ago in other posts I have told you about how I have been developing my maintenance plan and total repair of my 2008 Volkswagen crossfox vehicle, some jobs have been done by known mechanics, others to occupy my pre-retirement time I have done them myself, especially those that do not require me great physical effort and some technological knowledge, this time I decided to make a repair that for someone with practical experience is very simple, as it is to repair the front axle, but that task was difficult for me.
El diagnóstico que me indicó la necesidad de reparar el tren delantero lo hizo el mecánico que monto los amortiguadores. Quiero aclarar que el tren delantero de un vehículo lo conforman tres “subsistemas” por llamarlos de alguna manera: suspensión, frenos y dirección. El mecánico me mostro el desajuste de los cauchos, producto al desgaste de los componentes que conforman el “subsistema” de dirección: las rotulas (muñones, terminales, rotula del gato hidráulico), bujes de soporte y la meseta. Sospechaba que había que repararlo porque al alcanzar cierta velocidad notaba una vibración en el volante, pese a que cuando le cambia las puntas de los tripoides el mecánico que hizo la reparación me aseguro que estaban bien y no era necesario repararlo pero comprobé que no me dijo la verdad.
The diagnosis that indicated the need to repair the front axle was made by the mechanic who installed the shock absorbers. I want to clarify that the front axle of a vehicle is made up of three "subsystems", so to speak: suspension, brakes and steering. The mechanic showed me the misadjustment of the tires, due to the wear of the components that make up the steering "subsystem": the ball joints (trunnions, terminals, hydraulic jack ball joints), support bushings and the plateau. I suspected that it had to be repaired because when I reached a certain speed I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel, although when I changed the tips of the tripoids the mechanic who did the repair assured me that they were fine and it was not necessary to repair it, but I checked that he did not tell me the truth.
Con el diagnóstico realizado y considerando que ese carro ha sido muy poco exigente en cuanto a reparaciones, decidí montar todos los componentes nuevos y hacerlo yo mismo, porque asumí que es un trabajo de muy baja complejidad tecnológica, pero con lo que con contaba es con la exigencia física, sobre todo cambiar el buje en donde se inserta la meseta, para colocarlo hay que retirar la pieza en donde se inserta y llevarlo a una prensa hidráulica para sacar el dañado y poner el nuevo, los tonillos que lo sostienen están fuertemente ajustados y la incomodidad para trabajarlos exigen bastante trabajo, fuerza que me obligo usar palanca, que sabio era Arquímedes. El resto de los componentes si fue relativamente sencillo remplazarlos, pero les digo amigos de Hiver Motors para mi ya sexagenario y muy poco acostumbrado al trabajo físico la reparación del tren delantero de mi Volkswagen crossfox represento todo un reto y una nueva lección para mí en cuanto a valorar el trabajo que realizan los profesionales de la mecánica.

The rest of the components if it was relatively simple to replace them, but I tell you friends of Hiver Motors for my already sexagenarian and very unaccustomed to physical work the repair of the front axle of my Volkswagen crossfox represented a challenge and a new lesson for me in terms of valuing the work done by professionals in the mechanics.
Y después de todo un día de trabajo cansado pero contento salí a probar el resultado, desparecieron los ruidos, vibraciones y se siente como nuevo, valió la pena el esfuerzo y la dedicación, ahora solo resta llevarlo para que le hagan alineación y balanceo, y listo me he quitado una preocupación por un buen tiempo, porque aunque quizá en otros países la gente solo cambia un carro por otro, en el nuestro no es fácil hacerlo para la gran mayoría, debemos cuidar y mantener el vehículo que tenemos, además esto tiene sus ventajas; se reduce el consumismo y la tasa de incorporación de pasivos ambientales, en mi caso aprovecho mi tiempo libre y lo más importante para mi me mantengo activo, aprendiendo y ahorro.
