Wow hope am not late? been busy lately attending one events to another. I just saw the contest post and thought I had miss this one, am glad I still have two days let me just quickly share with you guys my own experience as an apprentice. I know after some people who know quiet well go though tis post they will be surprise I was once an apprentice lol.
In my area mechanics mostly are not regarded, they see it a a dirty man Job. this I am about telling you happened 7 years ago still fresh in my memory, I was still vey young when I finished my primary school, and my parent were advised my family friends I guess to not put me into secondary school yet because I was still very young.
And they put different talks in their head that made them finally give in, I as taken to my fathers mechanic to learn Automobile electronics, where I was learning we take care of every electrical parts of a car including changing of AC, my master was not that harsh to me compered to the once in other workshops close by, but if you do wrong you will be purnish by the senior apprentice.
The very first day I resumed work I was asked to go over to my masters house I began to wonder what for nobody told me, so I silently went with them. everything was new to me, on getting there I was told to push truck loaded with cooked food in coolers. I was surprise, I did exactly as I was told to do.
And that was how it continued till I left the workshop, at first learning the work as difficult as I wasn't trained to be dirty at home, but as soon as I started the work you need to see me lol. I will be asked to go under a car to loose a bolt going under will be another war I will have to go under through force from my seniors.
my worst day as an apprentice was when on one faithful morning a banker came in with 2009 honda for his break light to be changed, just the one at the left side, and I was sent to go get them from the shop, on my way back it mistakenly fell down or should I say its the work of the devil? lol.
It fell and broke. I had to do frog jump under the sun, I cried that day. after that day I never showed up there despite talks from my parent. that very incidence I will never forget.
I do appreciate you for coming to my blog, and also to the OCD community for this wonderful contest, cheers!!🍻
