Un gran saludo para toda la comunidad de Hive-Motors Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el mantenimiento preventivo de una maquina de coser Singer, les cuento que ayer mi esposa me pidió el favor de hacerle el mantenimiento a su maquina de coser, bueno amigos, esta maquina de coser se la regalé a mi esposa en el año 92, es decir que tiene
30 años, en verdad, esta maquina se ha conservado porque mi esposa siempre esta pendiente de su mantenimiento, siempre me pide que lubrique las partes internas como los engranajes, para evitar que sufran desgastes, recuerdo que la ultima vez que yo le hice el mantenimiento a esta maquina, fue el 15 de abril del 2020, en plena cuarentena, hace casi 3 años, así que ya era tiempo de darle otro cariñito, aunque mi esposa la usa de vez en cuando para arreglar su ropa, pero aun así, es bueno hacerle su debido mantenimiento.
Mantenimiento preventivo a una "Maquina de coser Singer"
Si amigos, hoy a petición de mi esposa, le voy a realizar un mantenimiento preventivo a su "Maquina de coser Singer", este mantenimiento consiste en limpiar todas su áreas internas y externas, así como también, la aplicación de lubricantes en las diferentes piezas que componen el mecanismo, para este trabajo, yo utilizo aceite "5 en 1", y grasa fina, solo para lubricar los engranajes plásticos como la corona y el eje roscado.

Proceso de mantenimiento de la maquina de coser
Bueno mis amigos, antes de comenzar este trabajo, les voy a señalar los materiales que voy a utilizar:
- Aceite lubricante 5x1
- Grasa fina para rodamientos
- Jabón liquido de lavaplatos
- Alcohol
Proceso:
- Comenzaré limpiando y lubricando los engranajes que se encuentra en la parte interna del brazo de la maquina, para realizar este trabajo, primero tengo que quitar la tapa superior, la cual consta de dos tornillos:
- Después de quitar la tapa superior de la maquina, ahora podemos ver todas las piezas del mecanismo, tales como: el eje, los piñones, los engranajes tipo coronas, y palancas:
- Lo siguiente será limpiar todas las piezas, esto incluye, la remoción del sucio, polvo y toda la grasa vieja de los engranajes, esta limpieza lo haré con un pincel, impregnado con alcohol, es importante remover la grasa vieja que se acumula en las ranuras del piñón y las coronas, porque con el tiempo se va mezclando con el polvo, convirtiéndose en una mezcla espesa que va a ocasionar el desgaste de estas piezas:

- Después de limpiar todo el mecanismo superior de la maquina, ahora voy a proceder a lubricar todas esas piezas, para esto voy a utilizar el aceite multiusos conocido como 5x1 y grasa fina, pero debo decirles que solo voy a untar grasa en los engranajes como: los piñones, y las coronas, ( vertical y la horizontal) a las demás piezas les aplicaré el aceite 5x1* tales como: Las bocinas del eje, palancas y la barra metálica que sujeta el prensa telas, también debo decirles que el aceite 5x1 así como el aceite 3x1, además de ser un buen lubricante, también se utiliza en las partes metálicas, para protegerlas de los agentes corrosivos:

- El siguiente paso será limpiar la tapa superior, este trabajo lo haré con un cepillo dental y jabón liquido, agua y un paño:
Colocación de la tapa superior:
- Bueno amigos, ahora voy a limpiar toda la parte externa de la maquina, que incluye, el brazo, la base inferior, el volante, perillas de ajustes y la carcasa del motor, esta limpieza la haré utilizando un cepillo dental con jabón liquido, pero solo en las áreas donde no existan letras y números, porque se pueden borrar, les recomiendo, que si ven áreas sucias con letras, números y símbolos, lo mejor es usar un paño húmedo, y frotar suavemente, porque es importante que la maquina de coser mantenga sus letras y símbolos para que se vea original:
- Para terminar este trabajo, voy a levantar todo el cuerpo de la maquina, tirándolo hacia atrás para luego proceder al mantenimiento de todo el mecanismo inferior, esto lo voy a realizar de la misma manera como lo hice con la parte superior, de manera, que lo primero que haré será quitar el polvo y los restos de residuos de algodón y grasa vieja, para luego aplicar el aceite 5x1 y grasa fina en algunos engranajes y con esto terminamos este interesante trabajo:

- After cleaning the entire upper mechanism of the machine, now I am going to proceed to lubricate all those parts, for this I am going to use the multipurpose oil known as 5x1 and fine grease, but I must tell you that I am only going to spread grease on the gears such as: the pinions, and the crowns, (vertical and horizontal) to the other parts I will apply the oil 5x1* such as: The horns of the axis, levers and the metal bar that holds the press fabrics, I must also tell you that the 5x1 oil as well as the 3x1 oil, in addition to being a good lubricant, is also used on metal parts, to protect them from corrosive agents:
