Hello everybody.I was browsing in my phones photos and i found some from last year in which the garage was under construction and was hosting a 2004 Suzuki V-strom 650 which needed some serious treatment.
First of all frond fork oil replacement because no one i know has ever changed them. The owner mentioned a problem with the front brakes that felt like non-progressive response.
After some carefull inspection found out that the front brake calipers had no problem exactly, the problem was that te last mechanic , i guess to prevent corrosion, used chain lube on the pistons, a huge mistake if you as my opinion, so it had to be cleaned very well.
Afte a lot meticulous cleaning, the pistons were moving like butter in and out the callipers. To make the brakes perform to their best, it is needed to change the brake fluid and do a propper brake circuit venting.
Front brake fluid was like mud, it seemed like it had to be changed since day one the bike released. After these works the brakes and the forks performed like new. More works that had been done to the bike ,but i haven't shot any photos unfortunately, was a chain and sproket change as well as sprocket carrier rubber cushions, engine oil change and oil filter with an add of oil booster for extra friction protection, new sparkplugs and coolant change and a proper air filter cleaning.
The first bike that came out from my new then garage and made it's owner happy with it's propper operation. I can not describe the happiness i feel every time someone brings me a bike that makes them sad because of their problems and with love and
treatment the same bike makes them happy.
