Hi motors mania.. Maybe I still feel foreign to all of you who are he[re in the community, for that I want to say hello from Indonesia to all who are here.
Alright, for my first post on this community, I want to try to discuss a little about routine maintenance on excavators or heavy equipment that you can do yourself, thus maybe saving expenses that you can use for other purposes.
The excavator engine is dominated by diesel fuel, maintenance that must always be considered so that the engine condition remains prime in its activities, among others, is changing the engine oil and also the filter.
How to change engine oil.
First thing is Doing Engine Oil Drain.
Prepare a container to accommodate the oil that we will remove from the excavator engine. Then, look for the drain valve at the bottom of the engine. Please be careful when opening the drain valve when the engine is just turned off because the oil temperature is still hot, you should do this in the morning when the engine has not been active so that things don't happen that you don't want.
Filling Engine Oil.
After you see that the old oil has run out, you just need to fill in the new oil by opening the valve located at the top of the engine, the volume of oil depends on the type of excavator you are using.
To change engine oil, of course there is a period or time, namely the period of changing engine oil which is about 250-500 hours of operation, a lot of oil that I replaced this time was around 27 liters.
That's my little discussion about how to change excavator engine oil that you can do yourself, which might save you spending money on yourself, thank you and see you in my next post.
