Desde hace más de 2 meses vengo manejando el carro con el hidrovac malo por que no tenía el dinero para mandarlo a reparar, y este se dañó por qué la bomba de freno tiene desgaste por ser muy vieja, es la original, y cada 4 meses aproximadamente empieza a bajar el nivel de liga del depósito y esta entra al hidrovac y la liga va debilitando la membrana hasta que la presión al momento de frenar hace que se rompa y como consecuencia el pedal del freno quede alto y muy duro al momento de frenar.
Cómo siempre manejo el carro no había problema con esto. Pero como tengo que salir de viaje en estos días, no podía dejárselo a mi esposa así, ya que ella tendría que llevar a los niños a la escuela y a todas sus actividades, además de hacer mercado.
La semana pasada fui a pedir presupuesto de la reparación del hidrovac y me salía en 55$ la reparación, así que tuvimos que pedir un préstamo para poder hacerle ese trabajo al carro.
Hoy por fin con el dinero en mano fui temprano a reparar los frenos en Frenos Mima, lo primero que hizo el mecánico fue retirar la bomba donde se coloca la liga, y luego por dentro, dónde está el pedal de frenado, retira las tuercas que sujeta el hidrovac y así poder quitarlo y llevarlo a la mesa de trabajo. Quedé sorprendido de la cantidad de liga de freno que tenía el hidrovac por dentro cuando empezó a chorrear al momento que lo trasladaban a la mesa.
Después de escurrir toda la liga del hidrovac, procedió a desarmarlo y a lavar cada pieza con agua y jabón, retiró la primera membrana y ésta estaba partida en uno de sus extremos, reviso la otra y gracias a Dios estaba en buen estado, por que sino, tendría que pagar por la otra y sería 20$ más, luego fue a buscar la membrana nueva y la instaló y procedió a armar nuevamente el hidrovac.
Ya armada fuimos al carro y la conectó a la manguera de vacío para probar que todo haya quedado bien, prendí el carro y en la primera me dijo que estaba perdiendo aire, así que la desconecto y la reviso, y se dió cuenta que la membrana nueva había quedado mordida y por eso botaba aire, la ajusto y la volvió a conectar a la manguera y está vez quedó bien. Así que instaló el hidrovac, luego colocó la bomba y procedió a purgar el sistema de frenado para evitar que quede aire en el sistema, y así, el carro pueda frenar bien y finalizó ajustando el nivel de liga en el depósito.
Bueno amigos, ésto fue la reparación que le realicé hoy al carro, queda ahora comprar una bomba nueva para evitar que siga entrando liga al hidrovac, pero mientras reúno los 65$ que cuesta la bomba, queda estar pendiente que al momento que empiece a bajar el nivel de liga, llevarlo para que le cambien las gomas de la bomba.

Today I finally got the money and went early to repair the brakes in Mima Brakes, the first thing the mechanic did was to remove the pump where the rubber band is placed, and then inside, where the brake pedal is, he removed the nuts that holds the hydrovac and so I could remove it and take it to the workbench. I was amazed at how much brake line the hydrovac had on the inside when it started to drip as it was being moved to the table.
After draining all the hydrovac league, proceeded to disassemble and wash each piece with soap and water, removed the first membrane and it was split at one end, checked the other and thank God was in good condition, why else, would have to pay for the other and would be $ 20 more, then went to find the new membrane and installed it and proceeded to reassemble the hydrovac.
Once assembled we went to the car and connected it to the vacuum hose to test that everything was ok, I turned on the car and the first time he told me that it was leaking air, so he disconnected it and checked it, and realized that the new membrane had been bitten and that's why it was leaking air, he adjusted it and reconnected it to the hose and this time it was fine. So he installed the hydrovac, then placed the pump and proceeded to bleed the braking system to prevent air from remaining in the system, and thus, the car can brake well and finished by adjusting the league level in the reservoir.
Well friends, this was the repair that I made today to the car, now I have to buy a new pump to prevent the hydrovac from getting more air, but while I gather the 65$ that the pump costs, I have to be aware that when the level of air starts to drop, to take it to change the tires of the pump.
