Pizza 1: Brawl Summary: Balanced Ratio
In this brawl report for hive.pizza guild PIZZA 1: The Stuffed Crust there were only 2 matches, and I won one match and lost the other match. Both are a good watch but the first match achieving victory against a Gold Foil Gladiator is this weeks battle highlight that we will be examining in greater depth below. Gold Foil gladiators, available to run in ANY gold foil fray, are highly valuable in the brawl frays.
Beating A Golden Gladiator, With NO Gladiators
In the brawl battle located here the enemy had a GOLDEN gladiator card that allows them the ability to use it in ANY fray to their strategic benefit. In this case, despite this rather rand benefit, the opponent still met his defeat. In short this was due to the per turn damage from earthquake wreaking havoc to a great portion of the enemy lineup INCLUDING his golden gladiator.
Even though this battle is brief it is not without tact, the enemy chose a summoner that grants 1 armor to all units. This is 1 tick of protection, and in GF fray 13 is often enough what defines victory in THIS ruleset. However, by pure luck I had obtained a golden Brighton Bloom in a dice ages ago that has been a tried and true part of my collection ever since. This meant that not only did I not take damage but my units also repeatedly DODGED the opponent. Brighton being a dragon summoner also gave me greater unit variety which when playing with a limited GF collection can be vital.
Overall this was an excellent fight to view, despite lasting only a matter of rounds due to the lethality of the ruleset. If ALL my units didn't have flying I would have lost this one. It should also be noted that flying adding dodge chance ALSO lead to various dodges against the enemy in this case. RNG did play a factor, let that be noted.
