Dearest leader.... uhm... "Father",
I would hate to be of nuance to you, my great liege! However, it has come to my attention as i read through your "Robin Hood-esque" descriptions on your "changes" in tax policy...
It must be that you have centred it on the little man, I couldn't believe anything other from a man of your virtue!
It must have somehow slipped your attention, as I know from experience that being a president can be "one hell of a job", especially on the first day! But that is, the BASIC TAX!
Now there we are talking about a Tax surely within the president's powerful reach to change, but for some reason, it hasn't changed to the betterment of quality of our small cities economies.
All this does good sir, is lower the overall tax burden, (something enjoyed by both you, and me, but men with cities of magnitude and stature such as ours, are not the common player). This, in fact, does zero to make their position better, it doesn't matter to lower some "straw men" taxes", while keeping the BASIC tax always at a number, exceeding the total 110% given the small player has in a hope of fair playing field been advised by one of us, to buy a law firm from one of us!
The reason I point this out, is I watched as our latest president got elected on "abolish the war tax" slogan, which he did but then well just raised BASIC TAX to 16.5% guaranteeing, no money for anyone but a chosen few, and yes I am a part of the ones benefitting.
However, I can see that this is not sustainable, new players MUST see a reason to invest in cards, they must see the return from those cards in SIM.
And most don't last long enough to bother learning these ins and outs of the tax tricks of the games' governance. Too ever raise their voices. Meanwhile, you and me, take their war axes, and buy them out cheap when they give up!
The majority of players are not "Megacities" with multiple drone factories, But why deny them of SIM...
I suspect that has something to do with SIM-Power, and the "Fat-Cats" at the top already making much more in holding rewards and "swap-reward" profits that they don't give a flying shit about taxing themselves out of any penny in order to starve the little guys, so that they won't "make the price go down", or god forbid the average city had SIM power to speak of, and elections would get exciting since, many small stakeholders were voting for different interests and a city with 30-50.000 SIM power, actually had a voice in the election. In our current system, maintained by the elite players changing the presidency like in a game of "revolving chairs".
All with a gimmick, but all use the Basic tax to cut the others out of SIM income again and again, this is the norm, but writing a post boasting about not adding "arts taxes" is just ludacrius, and to the ones commenting and cheering like something has changed, it looks like it hasnt, so for another 14 days your investments will sit without return.
However i have decided since i do love this game, #dCity and i so want it to get bigger, as a game, as a community, as a DeFi platform, but not just a defi platform for the early adaptors. A #dCity where the games HUGE potentials, and great investment opportunities are felt and enjoyed by all those who wish to play!
