This is my first time trying to get lucky in the ranked leagues this year 2022. Also, this time…I’m renting cards ‘cause I’ve already sold out my collection to buy some Chaos Legion card packs. Buying the cards is too expensive just to get better chances at winning. Renting was the option and I have no experience which cards specifically to rent.
I’m heavily stuck on this Bronze 3 rank. Struggling real hard and playing with just level 1 won’t cut-it. It always ended up being a 50-50 win rate or maybe I just sucked at this game because my mindset was still the old meta. It was the time when Untamed packs was just released and every time I would just play magic damage cards and it would just be a win. Technically, the best way I can think of is to study the new meta before the season ends and I know exactly where to get the info. At Peakmonsters they have a Battlechain where you can see battle log history and deck composition of each player. Better play smart than play hard.
When newbies rent cards they always go to the marketplace. It’s okay to do so but when you rent in bulk, the best place is Peakmonsters. Ever since I started blogging in the Hive Blockchain, I need to be careful of what my next transaction would be because it costs Resource Credits. Well, there is not much of Hive Power in my account so I have to choose the right transaction to execute.
When renting don’t rent 1 card at a time since that depletes your resource credits. Instead, go to Peakmonsters and rent in bulk as it will cost the same amount of resource credits spent. I rented the full Chaos Legion Monsters and Summoners cards and Summoners only cards from Untamed and Dice. They’re at max levels required for the Bronze League.
I have 2 unsold Untamed Gold Cards in my inventory. For some reason they are hard to sell even before the dip. Maybe these cards aren’t the current meta but they are available so I’m putting them up for rent instead of going to waste.

I just need the DEC to have funds for renting cards for Bronze Leagues. That might be a good tactic to buy some cards for rent to just have enough DEC for rent funds.
There is one big challenge here on my end and it’s power outages. Due to the recent Super Typhoon Rai (Odette was the Philippine name), Central Visayas region was destroyed and damages were really bad and took 1 month just to recover and have electricity and internet back again. This will just be considered a dry run and see how much my rental cards will achieve in this season. I will provide a follow-up blog after the season ends.
