Many crypto projects have claimed to be an "ETH Killer", and although ETH could certainly be improved upon, I don't think any existing project has the infrastructure and competitive advantages necessary to dethrone eth or the ethereum blockchain. Ethereum has a wide lead in the DeFi ecosystem, and competitors lack enough distinctive advantages to overcome this inertia bias.
