This was a very quick study. I tried to make it as fast as I could. The initial image came under an hour, but animation took several more days. (mostly because I kept thinking it'll look even better if I move some more parts 🤓
I rendered the house and the foreground pretty quick. It felt too fast tbh (an unpleasant habit from the past when I was just learning to draw as a teen).
Here I added a separate layer with foreground grass blades to create a wind animation.
A bland sky wouldn't work for this composition so I thought adding a huge Cumulus cloud would make it more interesting.
It still look kind of strange so I went ahed and added side clouds... At this point I should have noticed I'm adding too many things that would be effected by a wind animation...
Here I got carried away and animated the clouds getting decimated by the wind...until I realised it'll get even too complex so stopped... Added a light flicker on the barn, or perhaps its a tiny light house?
The amount of frames was getting out of hand, so I went back and reanimated the clouds and cut the frames down to 11.
This is one of those works I might come back to later to and update the animation with something smoother when I have no other ideas.
Have you tried complex environment animations before?
