Most body pains are psychological.
We carry our emotional baggage in our skin. There's something called PSYCHOGENIC. Check that up in your dictionary. I recently found that out while looking up something in my dictionary. Whatever duress resulting from the above mentioned word is as a result of the state of mind.
Different associated components of PSYCHOGENIC are Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Shock.
For instance, anger arises physiologically from the activity of the amygdala (is a complex structure of cells nestled in the middle of the brain primarily involved in the processing of emotions and memories associated with fear.) and hypothalamus (which acts as the body's smart control coordinating center and functions to keep the body in a stable state called homeostasis) in the brain that, when in "red alert," instigates reactions within us that prepare us for "fight or flight."
I've watched a Nollywood movie, when I was pretty young (not like I'm old now), that OLU JACOBS had a heart attack from hearing what INI EDO, his daughter, did. On hearing it, it resulted in heart attack and consequently his death. In the movie, he was an old man. This story is relatable to normal life here. So if age can really be a factor to this, have you asked yourself how strong a shock absorber you have in your agile state. Sometimes we get pissed with ourselves for not doing something that contributes to our pain. Yeah, we sometimes get angry for the reactions we didn't make when we got angry. Words like "I no even know why I bin no slap am." ("I can't place my finger on the reason I didn't slap that guy.")
If we actually know what PSYCHOGENIC processes can cause us we would avoid things that cause our depression, anxiety, anger or shock. As humans this possibility is thin so I do this, I create me a PSYCHOGENIC meter. Like that of a car I watch my speed cause speed kills you know. Watch how you react to things that can cause psychogenic pain. This would help a lot.
