Being with my mom is one of the things I am most grateful for and enjoy in this life. It is a gift without equal for me. When we are together we talk about so many things, we share so many things, we tell each other so many things, and as I always say we catch up on everything 🤭

And of course there is nothing better to catch up on everything than sharing a delicious sweet bread with a delicious cup of coffee. This bread that my mom and I are eating is filled with guava jam and has bits of sugar and shredded coconut on the outside. It was a spectacular afternoon of coffee with bread and laughter 😋

When I go home, with my mom, the days I'm with her and my brother are days of laughing until we can't. We make jokes about everything. We make a joke out of everything, we laugh at everything, we do funny things on purpose to laugh, we stay up late talking and eating whatever.... I think we take turns goofing around 😂 Wonderful days.

We sit in the kitchen and the hours don't seem to pass. It is as if everything stopped and it was just her, me, our words, our feelings and thoughts. By the time we realize it's time to make lunch or anything else.

I wish we could be like this every day of our lives. I trust in God that it will be, soon. However, I am so thankful to still have her alive and that these great moments can continue to exist by her side.

Estar con mi mamá es una de las cosas que más agradezco y disfruto en esta vida. Es un regalo sin igual para mí. Cuando estamos juntas hablamos de tantas cosas, compartimos tantas cosas, nos contamos muchas cosas, y como siempre digo nos ponemos al día con todo 🤭

Y por supuesto no hay nada mejor para ponerse al día con todo que compartir un rico pan dulce con una deliciosa taza de café. Este pan que mi mamá y yo nos estamos comiendo está relleno de dulce de guayaba y por fuera tiene pedacitos de azúcar y de coco rallado. Fue una tarde espectacular de café con pan y risas 😋

Cuando voy a mi casa, con mi mamá, los días que estoy con ella y con mi hermano son días de reír hasta más no poder. De todo hacemos un chiste, de todo nos reímos, hacemos cosas graciosas a propósito para reírnos, nos quedamos hasta tarde hablando y comiendo cualquier cosa... Creo que tomamos turnos para hacer tonterías 😂 Días maravillosos.

Nos sentamos en la cocina y las horas parecen no pasar. Es como que todo se detuviera y solo estuviéramos ella, yo, nuestras palabras, nuestro sentir y pensamientos. Cuando nos damos cuenta ya es hora de hacer la comida o cualquier otra cosa.

Ojalá pudiéramos estar así todos los días de nuestras vidas. Confío en Dios de que así será, pronto. Sin embargo, me siento muy agradecida de tenerla aún con vida y que puedan seguir existiendo estos momentos grandiosos a su lado.
