I had to start off with this poem to describe what inspiration means to me.
Inspiration comes in many forms,
It can be found in the calmest of storms.
It's the spark that ignites the fire,
The push that takes you higher.
It's the voice that whispers in your ear,
The nudge that helps you conquer fear.
It's that beam of light you need through the dark,
The hope that ignites a spark.
Inspiration can be found in tiniest things,
In the beauty that nature brings.
It's the magic that fills the air,
The energy that's always there.
So when you're feeling lost or down,
Just look around and you'll be found.
Inspiration is always near,
It's the force that helps us persevere.
Rainy days may seem gloomy to some, but they are a source of inspiration for me. It evokes a range of emotions in me from contemplation to introspection and even melancholy.
The pitter-patter of raindrops on my windowpane is like music to my ears, that earthy smell that fills the air when the waters reach the ground, or the sight of rain soaked landscapes are the perfect ambiance for me to let my creative juices flow.
I tend to accomplish a lot of tasks when it's raining. The rain is my biggest source of inspiration to paint my emotions with words using ink on a sheet of paper. The beauty in rain inspires a sense of wonder and gratitude for the simple joys in my life, it boosts my personal growth, gives me creative insights and of course each time it rains, there's this renewed inspiration. It just never gets old after all symbolically, rain is a fresh start, a new beginning, a cleanser and a new life so yeah, it never gets old.
Rainy days often create a cozy and introspective atmosphere, ideal for creative pursuits. I have a book where I write down things that cooked out of inspiration the rain brought. It's out of bounds for other mortals like me because my deepest secrets are in that book. It's only when there's a downpour I blow dust off that book. Blowing dust off it doesn't mean I don't value it, I do but it only comes out when there's a strong urge to paint with words. Lately, it's been coming out almost everyday as more words get added to its sheets.
We've been having rain a lot these few months and it's been my source of inspiration. I study better when it's raining, those rhythmical drums on my roof are soothing music to my ears and soul. I'll always curl myself up in bed with a book or sit by my window if ever I'm home when the rain is doing its thing.
Watching the thunder crash and lightning bolts spark, forces a smirk on my lips because at that point, feelings, thoughts and mixed emotions will be in abundance and I'll pour them out on paper.
I won't say I don't get inspired by any other thing than the rain. I sure do, especially by other people's success, writings and beautiful images I see when I log in to my Pinterest app. But the rain is mostly my source of inspiration. It's on these rainy days that I find myself most productive, and I am grateful for the inspiration that comes with them.
