We leave the Okinawa Archipelago to fly to the city of Osaka, about 1,600 km away. We will not forget our stay in Okinawa, where we particularly enjoyed the islands of Ishigaki and Taketomi.
Ishigaki, the largest of the Yaeyama Islands, charmed us with its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, perfect for diving and snorkeling. The island is also known for its spectacular mountainous landscapes, offering a typical and colorful panorama of the region.
Taketomi, on the other hand, is a small island with traditional charm, where time seems to have stood still. Its streets lined with Ryukyu-style houses and peaceful beaches invite leisurely walks and relaxation. The respect for local traditions, such as water buffalo used for transport or cultural ceremonies, adds an authentic dimension to this unique island.
These two islands, though very different, gave us a fascinating glimpse of the natural and cultural richness of the Okinawa Archipelago.
Nous quittons l'archipel d'Okinawa pour rejoindre en avion la ville d'Osaka, distante d'environ 1 600 km. Nous n'oublierons pas notre séjour à Okinawa, où nous avons particulièrement apprécié les îles d'Ishigaki et de Taketomi.
Ishigaki, la plus grande île des îles Yaeyama, nous a charmés par ses plages de sable blanc et ses eaux cristallines, idéales pour la plongée et le snorkeling. L'île est également connue pour ses paysages montagneux spectaculaires, offrant un panorama typique et coloré de la région.
Taketomi, en revanche, est une petite île au charme traditionnel, où le temps semble s'être arrêté. Ses ruelles bordées de maisons de style Ryukyu et ses plages paisibles invitent à la promenade et à la détente. Le respect des traditions locales, comme les buffles d'eau utilisés pour le transport ou les cérémonies culturelles, ajoute une dimension authentique à cette île unique.
Ces deux îles, bien que très différentes, nous ont offert un aperçu fascinant de la richesse naturelle et culturelle de l'archipel d'Okinawa.
