Hello friends,
every week publishes the "Monday Mission", a contest open to everyone.
The theme for this week is: "Creative Sockpuppets".
Toilet paper is a very useful object not only for the purpose for which it was created but it is also useful for creating simple puppets and giving vent to creativity.
I have a 6 year old daughter and every so often we have fun making puppets.
In this post I will tell you about a real puppet race in the family.
The puppet making contest.
A thrilling race, a challenge to the last drop of glue. :)
The participants
The tools and objects available
- Various colors
- 1 roll of toilet paper per participant
- Glue
- Wool threads of various colors
- Scissors
- Paper and cardstock
Time
The time available for each participant is 40 minutes.
The Judges
The judges appointed to judge the works are my daughter's grandparents, my parents.
Ready, Departure, Go
Chiara is the first who starts her work.
Followed by my sister who takes the scissors and starts cutting the woolen threads.
My wife starts 10 minutes late and immediately uses a colored card.
Three different people and three different approaches and techniques.
The challenge becomes interesting!
But now let's see the creation steps of the individual competitors.
Chiara
After painting the face of his puppet ...
... focuses on hair.
Monica
After coating the roll with a colored cardboard ...
Use the stapler to attach two pieces of paper that look like ears.
Note: The stapler was not among the allowed tools and I don't know if the judges will penalize the competitor ...
Annarita
She starts from the glue needed to attack the hair.
then she focuses on coloring the puppet's face
The three puppets
The three competitors finish several minutes earlier than the total time available
And here are the three completed puppets.
Quotes
The bookmakers, after seeing the finished works, published their quotes
Puppet Race Winner
Chiara - quota 5.2
Annarita - share 1.8
Monica - share 3.3
The favorite is Annarita and I must also admit, a simple spectator, that her work is elegant and noteworthy.
But the predictions are often reversed and the Leicester fable is a strong example.
What matters now is the response of the judges: grandmother Rosa and grandfather Andrea.
The winner
After a quick consultation the two judges decide who is the winner.
Taking into account the age of the participants, they declare that the winner of the race is:
And here is the podium and the award ceremony.
Conclusion
When I spend time with my family I am happy and the game allows you to amplify the emotions with laughter and fun.
This simple race is a way to encourage and stimulate the manual skills of my daughter who had a lot of fun.
Now the three puppets are ready to be part of hours of play and imaginative invented stories.
