I think the ocean analogy is more than apt. Whenever I talk about Hive with my wife, friends inside or outside of Hive I have always said that Hive is intended to be some sort of giant place that houses thousands and why not millions of projects and Dapps. How appropriate the crab bucket analogy has also been, to have a "crab bucket" type of mentality, is to not understand the ever expanding vastness of Hive.
Indeed Hive is the best blockchain to build because it has a solid decentralization and although it can be misinterpreted, certainly nothing has to do the Dpos protocol with the construction, I think the confusion lies in that the Hive landscape is limited, and only when you open your eyes more you understand that the decentralization is staggered and is built that way for a purpose.
My passage through Hive has been a constant learning and every time I try to dive into the deep waters to learn or understand something new I realize that Hive is well thought out, nothing is put at random.
I was once asked what is Hive's direct competition, I thought a bit and reflected, maybe the quickest and most thoughtless answer could have been to name another blockchain but it's not like that. The answer I said is that Hive has no competition because its projection, solid construction and vision make it particularly unique, but for the person to have a broader idea, I said: "Hive aims to set itself up in web3, as Google has done in web2" Maybe I do not know if it was a valid analogy, but my intention was that the person took away the idea that Hive is not a corner of the web but an incredibly immense project. There is nothing more centralized than web2 and it has become incredibly immense because it was all there was, but now with web3 the digital monarchies are faltering.
Dear I hope you have an excellent year 2023, and I have full confidence that this year very good things are coming for our blockchain, it was a pleasure to read you.
