Blacklisting another user of itself doesn't do anything to that user

I beg to differ. I fail to see how you can believe that stigmatizing people does nothing to them. Can you explain that to me ?

The vast majority of people will blindly follow any perceived authority. As evidence just look at the vast majority who are blindly following social distancing directives, following wearing mask directives, following directives that have bankrupted many small businesses.
Look at how the German people behaved and the atrocities they committed because of a perceived authority. The German people are no different to any other population
