¡Hola, amigos! Es un placer para mí compartir con ustedes uno de los pocos lujos que me doy desde hace un tiempo: hacerme la manicura. Resulta que mis uñas naturales eran muy frágiles, es por esto que decidí, en un buen momento, empezar a hacerme las uñas con acrílico. Todo comenzó un día que fui a la peluquería cerca de mi casa y allí empezó el amor, una muchacha pecosa con el cabello largo y negro me atendió, me puso las acrílicas con una técnica llamada Dual System. Con esta técnica, aplicas el acrílico en unos moldes que se adecúan a tu tamaño de la uña y no utilizas tips que se pegan a la uña, lo que evita que se te rompa o caiga alguna de tus uñas.

Hello, friends! It's a pleasure for me to share with you one of the few luxuries I've been giving myself for a while now: getting a manicure. It turns out that my natural nails were very fragile, that's why I decided, at a good time, to start doing my nails with acrylic. It all started one day when I went to the hairdresser's near my house and that's where the love began, a freckled girl with long black hair attended me, she applied the acrylics with a technique called Dual System. With this technique, you apply the acrylic in molds that fit your nail size and you don't use tips that stick to the nail, which prevents any of your nails from breaking or falling off.
Cuando vi lo duradera que son las uñas con este sistema, más nunca dejé de hacerlas. La verdad es, que en más de año y medio que me hice esta técnica, solo la apliqué la primera vez, porque luego solo hice mis mantenimientos cada 21 días aproximadamente. Y hoy vengo a mostrar el proceso de mantenimiento que hizo Ángela, mi manicurista (y la relación más larga que he tenido en estos últimos años).
Empezó removiendo la cutícula en seco, ya sabemos que para esta técnica no se pueden remojar las uñas porque se perdería todo el trabajo. Así que remover la cutícula y cortarla, a veces puede ser doloroso, todo depende de como tenga la piel en esos días.

The truth is, that in more than a year and a half that I did this technique, I only applied it the first time, because then I only did my maintenance approximately every 21 days. And today I come to show the maintenance process that Angela, my manicurist (and the longest relationship I've had in recent years) did.She started by removing the cuticle dry, we already know that for this technique you can't soak the nails because you would lose all the work. So removing the cuticle and cutting it, sometimes it can be painful, it all depends on how the skin is in those days.

Luego se prepara la uña para aplicar el acrílico, se quita todo el acrílico levantado, y aunque no pasó mucho tiempo, si tenía mis uñas en mal estado por todo el trabajo manual que hice en las últimas 3 semanas. Ya aquí no se aplica más la técnica de aplicarlo con el molde porque estamos haciendo mantenimiento y ya hay acrílico. Lo que sí quiero decirles es que todo el largo es con mi uña natural y esta es la base en la que se aplica el acrílico.

Then the nail is prepared to apply the acrylic, all the lifted acrylic is removed, and although not much time passed, my nails were in bad shape because of all the manual work I did in the last 3 weeks. The technique of applying it with the mold is no longer applied here because we are doing maintenance and there is already acrylic. What I do want to tell you is that the whole length is with my natural nail and this is the base where the acrylic is applied.

Luego de aplicar el acrílico, se empieza a limar, y se usa este aparato (que no sé como se llama) que agiliza todo el proceso, y ya luego si tenemos las uñas listas para empezar a pintar.

Yo ya tenía un diseño que quería hacerme, yo no suelo hacerme pinceladas, pero venía de tener un color único, muy lindo, pero bastante sobrio, por lo que ahora quería alocarme con unos colores neón, pero que no fuera algo estrafalario porque tampoco es que iba a estar por ahí promoviendo un carnaval.
Al final, confiando en Ángela, que hace unos diseños perfectos para las uñas, tiene un pulso magnífico, sabía que me haría algo hermoso.

I already had a design that I wanted to do, I don't usually do brush strokes, but I had a single color, very nice, but quite sober, so now I wanted to go crazy with some neon colors, but not something outlandish because I wasn't going to be out there promoting a carnival.In the end, trusting Angela, who does perfect nail designs, she has a great pulse, I knew she would make me something beautiful.

También aproveché de hacerme la pedicura porque ya tenía los pies destruidos, pero aquí no me iba a volver loca con los colores, así que opté por un tono nude que hiciera que simplemente se me vieran lindos los pies.

Estoy feliz porque por primera vez publico en esta comunidad de artistas maravillosos y a las que admiro un montón porque soy floja para maquillarme, pero debía compartir esta pasión que tengo con mis uñas con todos ustedes. Debo aclarar algo que dije al principio que es que hacernos las uñas en un lujo, de hecho, así lo es, pero es uno que no solo disfruto, sino que hace verme más linda y ya mis uñas no sufren. Yo las mordía por la ansiedad, y gracias a que empecé a arreglármelas, dejé de morderlas, y ahora mis manos lucen bellas la mayor parte del tiempo. ¿Les gustó mi diseño? I'm happy because for the first time I'm publishing in this community of wonderful artists that I admire a lot because I'm lazy to do my makeup, but I had to share this passion I have with my nails with all of you.
