Iceland, Reykjavik.
I was blessed with a two-days stay at the capital of the magical island country during a photo-travel. However, I should call this a "two-days walk" as there was virtually no stay that time. There was so much to explore for that so limited time.
So I've passed by and noticed several churches and cathedrals, small and big, but the one that deeply impressed me and to be honest, it took my breath away the first time I saw it raising high in the skies in front of me, was the Hallgrimskirkja or the "Church on the Hill".
I took many photographs of it during those two walking days. Many views and perspectives, from many angles. Close-ups and distant views. The scape of the beautiful city gives such a different foregrounds and backgrounds. The people, simply passing by or admiring this marvel, too.
Like it or not, I believe everyone would agree that the architectural style of this cathedral is something unique. Like it or not, it really affects.
Personally, some of the times it was giving me chills and creeps, sometimes I could see the crying human spirit, trying to reach the heavens with those thousands of concrete hands and arms... The constant desire to evolve spiritually, embedded in this divine construction...
This first photograph is my entry to "Qurator's Photo Quest | Frame in Frame" by , thank you! I captured it while composing the beautiful windows of the tower and later I noticed the hands and the serious expression on the face of that lady, who was trying to snap the cityscape from above.
Anyway, I hope you'll agree with me that any angle, by which this piece or art is viewed, has its charm and awesomeness! Moreover, with its breathtaking height, I believe it is visible from all around the city.
Just to add, that somehow, driven by the mood this achievement inflicts on me, I am seeing all those picture in Black and White only.
