Hello there! I'm didiee and it's my first time of posting in this community. I found it last week while exploring. So glad to be part of this community, I hope to have an amazing time here.
Ever heard of the word "kryptonite"? According to Wikipedia, Kryptonite is a fictional material that appears primarily in Superman stories... In its best-known form, it is a green, crystalline material originating from Superman's home world of Krypton that emits a unique radiation that weakens Superman.
Few days ago, I was reading a book titled The Smart Money Woman by Arese Ugwu and in one of the pages I read... "just maybe quality conversation is my kryptonite!" This got me wondering wtf does that mean?
As a curious person I looked up the word in the dictionary and on the internet so I could understand what I read and I got it!
The book talks about Zuri, a young lady of about 31 years who was in a financial crises. Zuri worked as a senior manager at a real estate firm and earned 600k. She lived a life of extravagance and had no savings. Soon the bills became massive and everything began to fall apart.
She got a bill of 200k from her mechanic for what she thought was a little car challenge, a letter from her landlord pointing out her 430k service charge bills for the last 3 months. She equally realized she had fibroids, and the procedure her gynaecologist told her she might need would cost 950k and she had no savings! What a mess!
To make her situation worse, the company she worked for fired 25 staff and Zuri was left out because she was on probation.
Her boss had earlier told her to come up with a good plan that would help them close a deal with a private equity firm called Zuma Capital.
It was during this meeting she met Tsola,he was part of the team from the company Zuri was meant to impress with her presentation.
Later that day, they met again at the airport while Zuri was waiting for her flight. They had the opportunity to talk and Zuri opened up about her financial crises and Tsola gave her a number of strategies on how to go about it.
Weeks later, the deal between their companies was signed. This marked the beginning of their relationship. Zuri, when reflecting on their love story wondered how Tsola won her heart and there she figured quality conversation is her kryptonite.
Now to all the readers, do you ever wonder what it takes to weaken your defenses? Ever vowed never to fall for a guy no matter how hard he tries but in the end you fell in love with the person? Why? What's that one attribute a guy must possess to get you smitten? What's your Kryptonite?
To all my readers I say thank you! Your responses, be it thoughts or criticism are very much welcome.
Don't forget to do more, talk less and never get mad at another man's success. I'm didiee! ♥️
