I listened to a late night radio show last night. A lady called in and said how she had a one night stand with a stranger. Since then, the stranger has been calling her, telling her how he has fallen in love with her. The reason why she called into the program was to get advice from people on what to do. Because according to her, she didn't think it made sense to fall in love with someone just because she had sex with the person. And to even think it was just a one time thing.
Now here is what I think about love and sex. It can be argued in two ways. The first is that sex can bring love. I feel so because sex is a bond. When you have sex with someone, you exchange emotions. You automatically become one flesh with that person. Have you realized that immediately you have sex with someone, you can practically go naked every time you like without being shy? That's because you are now emotionally attached to that person. Sex seals a relationship. Why do couples separate when sex is being deprived by either of them? What makes the relationship sweet? Sex is a special spice in every relationship.
The second is that sex cannot bring love. I know someone who has said that he cannot have sex with someone he doesn't love. Let's look at this from the angle of sex workers. If sex brings love, I am sure that sex workers would be falling in love with every of their customers. Sex should be passionate. It is something that should be done from the heart and out of the flame of love. When sex is done out of emotions,it is deep and enjoyable.
You know that spark and excitement of looking into your partner's eyes while making love? A sweet feeling.
Having said all of these? What do you think? Can sex make someone fall genuinely in love? Can you passionately have sex with someone whom you do not love? Is it even possible that the claim made by the caller about her one night stand lover being in love with her is possible?
I am just wondering if it is infatuation or love. But seeing it from both angles, he may just be truly in love.
