I think one of the things that I liked about my adolescence is that we always had a lot of information about sexual diversity and this made us grow as tolerant and open-minded people. In my group of friends there was never anyone who is against the LGBT community or who has ever mentioned this as a bad thing. We even liked to frequent LGTB spaces more when partying because we found them more fun and with better energy than traditional bars. And of course, year after year it was customary to attend the gay pride march and it still is ❤️🌈.
Creo que una de las cosas que me gustó de mi adolescencia es que siempre tuvimos mucha información sobre la diversidad sexual y esto nos hizo crecer como personas tolerantes y de mente abierta. En mi grupo de amigos nunca hubo nadie que esté en contra de la comunidad LGTB o que alguna vez haya mencionado esto como algo malo. Incluso nos gustaba más frecuentar espacios LGTB a la hora de ir de fiesta porque nos resultaban más divertidos y con mejor energía que los bares tradicionales. Y por supuesto, año a año era costumbre asisitir a la marcha del orgullo gay y aún lo sigue siendo ❤️🌈.
This celebration took place last Saturday: more than a month ago we had planned to attend with my sister and friends. In previous years this weekend coincided with my little sister's birthday, so I couldn't stay that late at the party. But this year it was held the weekend before the birthday so we were able to go without problems ❤️.
Esta celebración tuvo lugar el sábado pasado: hace más de un mes que habíamos planeado asistir con mi hermana y amigas. En años anteriores este fin de semana coincidía con el cumpleaños de mi hermana pequeña, por lo que no podía quedarme hasta tan tarde en la fiesta. Pero este año se realizó el fin de semana anterior al cumpleaños así que pudimos ir sin problemas ❤️.
This march is organized in the center of the city of Buenos Aires, precisely in the Plaza de Mayo and in the afternoon it goes to the National Congress. During this celebration, a lot of music is heard, there are trucks with people dancing and celebrating and a lot of beer is sold (a lot of beer 😂).
Esta marcha se organiza en el centro de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, precisamente en la Plaza de Mayo y a la tarde se dirige hacía el Congreso de la Nación. Durante esta celebración se escucha mucha música, hay camiones con gente bailando y festejando y se vende mucha cerveza (muuucha cerveza 😂).
This parade is heading slowly down the middle of the avenue towards the congress. People are walking and dancing behind. Everyone takes the opportunity to put on extravagant outfits and load up with glitters and great makeup. This is one of the things I like the most 😍.
Este desfile se dirige lentamente por el medio de la avenida hacia el congreso. La gente va caminando y bailando atrás. Todo el mundo aprovecha para ponerse outfits extravagantes y cargarse de brillos y maquillajes geniales. Esta es una de las cosas que más me gustan 😍.
Everything is so colorful and people are in such a good mood that it is impossible not to catch it. This is the first time that I was able to stay in the celebration until the evening and I was able to see the congress illuminated with the colors of the flag. It looked so cute, and there was also a sunset full of clouds that gave us some incredible postcards ❤️.
Todo es tan colorido y la gente está de tan buen humor que es imposible no contagiarse de eso. Esta es la primera vez que pude quedarme en la celebración hasta la noche y pude ver el congreso iluminado con los colores de la bandera. Se veía tan lindo, y además hubo un atardecer lleno de nubes que nos regaló unas postales increíbles ❤️.
My friend Micaela and I first attended this celebration when we were 16 years old. Now, more than 10 years later, we went back together and had a great time. This time we are adults with our adult salary and we can buy drinks and souvenirs, not like before when we could not buy anything for lack of money 😂😂😂.
Mi amiga Micaela y yo asistimos por primera vez a esta celebración cuando teníamos 16 años. Ahora, más de 10 años después, volvimos a ir juntas y la pasamos muy bien. Esta vez somos adultas con nuestro sueldo de adultas y podemos comprarnos bebidas y recuerdos, no como antes que no podíamos comprar nada por falta de dinero 😂😂😂.
I think that this type of mass mobilization is important to make this great community that was hidden for many years visible, and also to remind society of the current claims. Although we have advanced a lot as a society, there are still many things pending to balance rights.
Pienso que es importante este tipo de movilizaciones masivas para que se visibilice esta grna comunidad que por muchos años estuvo escondida, y además para recordar a la sociedad cuáles son los reclamos vigentes. Si bien avanzamos mucho como sociedad, aún hay muchas cosas pendientes para equilibrar derechos.
Someone had asked if there was a party, a political event or a protest on this day. Well, I think it's a bit of all of that. It is a day for everyone to show themselves as they are, just proud of their identities and without any prejudice ❤️.
Alguien había preguntado si en este día se realizaba una fiesta, un acto político o una protesta. Bien, yo creo que es un poco de todo eso. Es un día para que todos se muestren tal cual son, justamente orgullosos de sus identidades y sin ningún tipo de prejuicios ❤️.
We were walking and dancing from five in the afternoon until after three in the morning. It has been a long time since I was standing for so long, without a doubt this is something that has changed from the first time I went to the march until now: the energy to sustain many hours of partying 😂. Anyway we had a great day and it made me very happy to be able to attend late. I think no one should feel sorry or ashamed to show themselves as they are and this was the spirit of that day, to celebrate without any prejudice ❤️.
Estuvimos caminando y bailando desde las cinco de la tarde hasta pasadas las tres de la mañana. Hace mucho que no estaba tanto tiempo parada, sin dudas esto es algo que cambió desde la primera vez que fui a la marcha hasta ahora: la energía para sostener muchas horas de fiesta 😂. De todos modos pasamos un día genial y me hizo muy feliz poder asistir hasta tarde. Creo que nadie debería sentir pena o vergüenza de mostrarse tal cual es y este fue el espíritu de ese día, festejar sin ningún tipo de prejuicios ❤️.
