We're now on the 3rd part of my 7-day personal challenge. If you're just seeing this now you can check my previous posts for parts 1 and 2.
Why am I doing this? Let's just say I want to remember Shae but also forget about her. More like, so I could let go of all the different feelings I have for her bit by bit. Also, although she won't see this, I told her that I will definitely complete 7 days of writing. It was the last thing we talked about.
I don't believe we can truly forget a person. We just learn to cope or maybe let go of it. Like Ishishealing said, "just put it on a leaf and let it fly away" and hope that the wind doesn't blow the leaf back to your face.
In this part, I made a story that would describe what happened with Shae but I won't mention who she is in the story. Also, this is up for your own interpretation. So, if you think you can identify who Shae is in the story, and what happened to us, let me know your thoughts. If you're right, I'll give you a kiss <3 jk
Daliah's Tree
Upon stumbling by a sprout, Daliah sat beside it for days, she carefully examined how it grew upward in response to the movement of light. Daliah, a shaded shape of a person, just like any of us during that time, was curious of the world. After observing a sproutling for days, she decided to get up and continue with her adventure. She reached a field filled with different types of flowers. Some were bright, some were dull, some were small, and some just didn't smell right. Amidst the field, she picks up a plain looking seed and thought to herself, "This is special."
Daliah holds up the seed on her hand and giggles.
"I'll plant you somewhere nice, where you'll be the only thing seen! Others would know you're special."
A meadow, without any other plant, would be the seed's home. Years have passed, the seed grew into a beautiful tree. The tree was slim yet sturdy. Its leaves had different shades of green. And no matter how the wind howled, its branches swayed but never bent. For 6 years, the tree stood in the middle of the meadowed, admired by many. Especially by Daliah, who would come visit the tree daily. This was Daliah's tree. No matter how many looked and admired it. It was Daliah's tree.
A few months later, Daliah went back to the flower field and found another seed. She holds up the seed on her hand and giggles.
"I'll plant you somewhere faaaar away, where nobody else can see you, but you would know you're special."
And Daliah went far away to hide and plant her new seed. The tree got lonely as days, weeks, and months passed. Daliah didn't come to visit her. On the 8th year, the tree started bearing fruits. The tree's fruit would glisten - its green, orange and yellow color when the sun shines hit it. The fruit would attract any passerby with its sweet and delectable scent.
A woman in her mid 20s sees the tree and approaches it. She wondered how the tree got there when there were no flowers nor trees nearby. Suddenly, a fruit from the tree fell. She picks it up and was curious how the fruit would taste like. She takes a bite of this beautiful but oddly shaped fruit.
I am not sure if it was a curse, but the fruit made the woman stay beside the tree. The woman thought that the tree was special. She couldn't eat anything aside from its fruits. Unfortunately, the tree ran out of fruits, the woman starved to death after consuming only the tree's fruits for 6 months. Daliah came back to her tree. She was shocked to see a human's remains lying under the tree. Around it was just a bunch of dried up stems which seemed like it came from a fruit. Daliah was puzzled and looked worried. She thought that the tree's fruit must have been poisonous.
Daliah started visiting her tree daily again. Waiting for its fruits so she could remove them. It wasn't long since the tree started bearing fruit again, this time it wasn't fully grown but Daliah plucked all the fruits she could find, took it with her and went back to her new sapling. However, Daliah was not able to remove all of the tree's fruits. A few managed to grow fully and, unfortunately, another woman who was lost came accross the tree. She was tired searching for someone so she sat down and lied her back against the tree. When she looked up, she noticed some oddly shaped fruits from the tree. Out of curiosity, she climbed the tree and plucked a fruit. She kept the fruit and went back to her search. A few days later, she went back to the tree... because she realized she couldn't eat anything aside from its fruit. She died within the second month because there weren't enough fruits left in the first place.
Daliah out of the blue visits the tree and was shocked to see a corpse sitting upright lying its back against the tree. This time Daliah decides to wait for its fruits again. Once more, she comes visit her tree daily. Soon, the tree bore fruit but this time she waits for them to fully grow and plucked them all. It wasn't enough though, she grabs an axe and chopped the tree down. Curious of the fruit. She takes a bite of it but nothing happens. It seems like it wasn't poisonous after all. She shrugs it off, takes the remaining fruit with her and went to a place far away where her other tree was.
The end.
