This time I went to a village known as Onstwedde. Wanted to visit the 15th century Gothic style church there. The 'juffer' tower can be seen from many directions. It is a moraines formed landscape, which got its current form after the ice-age.
It is a great region to stroll and / or bike. There is much landscape resemblance with a region in the nearby province of Drenthe. Especially at the hound's back area. Which starts at the center of the city of Groningen and goes all the way to the city of Emmen in the province of Drenthe.
Many different kinds of landscapes in Nederland. One moment you can find yourself in the Oldambtster polder, an hour of biking later you're in the glowing landscape of Westerwolde, surrounded by trees.
Maybe tomorrow another peddle pushing trip. A lot to still discover in the region where I live. Places I've never been before. And this is only a small part of our beautiful planet...
