I don't know when it was built. It looks like a combination of an old house and a few newer stuff added through the years, and since this wasn't some important public or historic building, nobody famous was born or died here as far as I know, I found absolutely nothing about it on the Internet ...
... and people I know from the city, also couldn't give me any revealing information ...
... so, what else can I tell you about this lovely ghost - house?
Well, only my impressions and observations I guess ...
... and show you its rich, chaotic interior.
I saw the house many times from a distance, while driving around this suburban neighborhood at the seaside edge of the city. The city I'm talking about is Pula, the biggest (and arguably the only) city on this rural peninsula with many small towns and villages. I noticed the house because it's slightly isolated from other buildings in the area, but didn't notice that is abandoned.
Only yesterday while walking around that area in search for details on the shore and in the harbor, I came closer ...
... and noticed that the house is wide open ...
... and filled with colorful stuff ...
... some details in this overwhelming abundance of small objects somehow stood out and ended on the photographs. There was a strictly religious Christmas Card, with just the basic Biblical personnel, no reindeer and stuff ...
... there were these two lovely bottles with a bit of some dense, mysterious liquid at their bottoms ...
... and on the wall of that first, relatively large room that looked like a living room, situated very near to the main entrance, there was a bathroom mirror ... and on the little shelf, part of the mirror's frame ...
... I found a bizarre little detail ... one of those little double - containers for salt and pepper I usually see in restaurants. And there was salt and pepper inside ... or something that looked exactly like salt and pepper, because I didn't try how it tastes, so ... there is still room for imagination.
This shiny disc ...
... was laying at the entrance. I took these interior shots pretty fast, because I had a strange sensation that someone is watching me, the place looked a bit like someone is still using the house as a shelter, a homeless person maybe ... there was a door in the corner of what looked like a living room that was leading to another, not so well lit room ... and I hesitated to enter, because it gave me the sensation that I could find someone sleeping there ... or a dead body even, these thoughts were kind of inevitable in that atmosphere ... on the following shot ...
... you can take a look at this room.
A multitude of blue flowers has grown in front of the house ...
This is the Spring starflower (Ipheion uniflorum) a cultivated plant ...
... it seems that, while the rest of the garden turned wild, overgrown with self-seeding weeds, these starflowers ...
... a bunch of Marigolds ...
... and just one Daffodil, stood their ground.
There was a little tool shed near the house ... with a broken chair waiting outside ...
... this is a closer look at the shed's interior ...
... this is a look at the interior of another room in the house, It resembles a kitchen and I forgot to mention it earlier when I was talking bout the main building.
A little empty dog house with a little barking ghost inside was also part of the arrangement.
On this photograph you can see another little shed with no windows ... and on the following shot ...
... you can take a look at its dark interior ... a chair, a stove, some wood and paper to burn ... it looks like someone's home ... I took a quick shot and went away, it felt kind of wrong nosing around too much, even with the door wide open ... and now ...
... with the last look at the nearby city marina filled with small fishing boats and elegant sailing boats ... it's time to end this excursion ... as always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
