While visiting the area, we popped over to see the remains of a defunct Recycling Centre that once crushed and washed stones, soil and sand.
The first thing you notice when you are walking up to it is the colour blue, it really stood out. It was a pity we didn't have a blue sky to go with it.
It opened in 2009 costing a whopping £1.5m. Unfortunately, in 2017, the owner was sent to the slammer for breaching environmental permits.
The centre went bust and has stood empty since then with nobody wanting to purchase the land. It makes you wonder why the owner didn't send everything away for scrap instead of just letting it rust away.
It was in quite an accessible location so good to see the local graffitti artist Trench had paid a visit to add a bit of colour.
Sheffield Wednesday ... my arse .. said a Chesterfield supporter!
I'm not very good with heights and I hate these bloody stairs where you can see the ground below. I managed to get up there though.
I didn't go to the edge. I wasn't too sure if the floor would take my weight! There's things you just don't want on your gravestone.
That reminds me, I must catch up with 'The Walking Dead' which seems to be going on f-o-r-e-v-e-r.
There was a second part to the centre. This looked like a massive fan of some sorts.
We could hear people working at the neighbouring factory so we decided to leave. Sweets anyone?
