It is a common thing for our latitudes, when winter cannot retreat for a long time. If during the day the spring sun heats up so that puddles appear, then at night it can freeze well!
There is a heating route near my house and there are concrete structures with hatches.
In severe frosts, steam comes out of the hatches. Perhaps there is a small leak somewhere, or maybe just a temperature difference creates such evaporation.
I had to go to the store. The path to it lies past the floating hatches and therefore I drew attention to them.
Steam hatches resembled cooling towers.
It is better not to shoot them at too long exposure, so as not to lose the texture of the vapor.
It is necessary to direct the camera towards light sources, that is, shoot them through the steam - then the steam itself will be as noticeable as possible.
If you turn the camera away from the light, the steam becomes almost invisible.
Of course, this effect can only be seen in severe frost.
I specially captured these cooling tower hatches from all possible angles so that you can trace from what point they look the most advantageous.
I also tried all the exposure options. Everything was selected empirically and then everyone will be able to choose the best shot for themselves.
For myself, I would note the most successful ones - these are 4 and 8. But I love all of them.
