I'm lucky enough to live near Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England and also lucky to have so many superior graffiti artists based around the area. I've done a little urban exploring in my time and it's only recently I realised I've shot so much of the artwork around my area. This is a post with an example from each of the top painters:
This is a very subtle but stylish piece by "Affix" I have found Affix's work to be inspirational and led to a few ideas where I've lightpainted in textures or patterns much the same way as Affix does so well.
This is Rocket01; I cropped in tight on this one:
This is a piece with the incredible "faunagraphic" and her partner in real life, Rocket01:
This is part of a graphic work of art by Rob Lee, _art. He's more commercial these days, pay him real money and he'll come and paint your walls:
Another favourite by "Pawski" and unfortunately I don't see many works by this one anymore in Sheffield: This is one I shot in the dark with a quad colour flashlight.
And finally, no post about graffiti in Sheffield would be complete without the man himself, . I've met this chap many times in some derelict building on my travels and he's a thoroughly good person to know: (Shot through foliage with an 85mm and shallow depth of field).
About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
