Leaving Kiev early morning after hooking up with Viktor the guide and several other travellers our journey towards Prypyat begins, shortly stopping at a service station to stock up on snacklets as “there won’t be anything within the zones”. Back in the van laden with biscuits and crisps, we were told our first stop would be at the humongous listening post: Duga radio station, from basement to roof top A few interesting bits and bobs.
