The aptly named ‘Graffiti House’ was one of those drive-by’s, screeching tyres, engage reverse gear, stop and have a look around types of places.
I would say most of the time they end up being inaccessible or even co-habited, but not in this case. If they are none of these, then having something worth looking at is always a bonus.
Both I and are always up for looking around a wreck and this is what it turned out to be. Next door to it was yet another old abandoned house.
We were both a bit knackered after doing Dawson’s’ Fabrics earlier that involved some climbing and left this other creepier house alone.
I got a shot by holding my camera above a large rickety fence which would need to have been climbed to get in that one.
The fence would likely have collapsed and that means criminal damage. As neither of us are criminals, it was off the cards.
The only other way was from the accessible house but some bastard had laid a ton of trees and brambles in the way.
I still wonder what was in the creepier house? Maybe this is for another day and a re-visit.
Getting in the Graffiti House was really not a big deal which involved just a little climbing.
Inside was dark, and I mean really dark. Every window was boarded up letting little if no light through.
Right away I could see the spray paint boys had been in, and not the talented type.
…’the floor looks extra wonky but it was some old door that had been flung on to it’…
In some parts of the house, there was no room for new graffiti so the old crap stuff behind was replaced by equally new crap stuff.
Nazi propaganda is quite common and I see it all the time. Unsafe buildings can become safe ones at any time; just a little paint is required.
Natural light is provided often by way of bust open roofs, it does make things easier to see.
I am wondering if any smackheads have been in here?
This room was once the bathroom. You can see the tiles attached to the walls. Going there now would result in a large drop and a broken leg. The toilet has long since vanished.
…’ OXYCORT is used for topical treatment of skin inflammations complicated by bacterial infections in the following diseases’…
You do see some strange things in these old houses. What is that doing here?
The upper floor was relatively safe, just a few holes and floorboards missing. Beams are good places to park your feet.
I do regret not trying a little harder to get into ‘Creepier House' next door. It was bigger and visibly accessible once the brambles, wooden staves, and piles of shit were navigated around..
Not a bad one to just come across, shame there was little inside besides bad graffiti and a tin of anti-inflammation juice.
