I spent most of today playing around with Doubao, and the experience was a mix of good and bad.
Following its step-by-step instructions, I actually learned some useful tricks—like free ways to download and export data from certain websites and desktop apps. The exported files weren’t ready to use right away, but it was still better than wasting time on something that doesn’t work at all (which has happened way too often).
That said, I ran into plenty of issues. I corrected its mistakes three times and received two apologies. A lot of its answers still need checking and verification, and some of its suggested methods turned out to be useless once I tried them. Also, its explanations for some things are just text—no pictures included—so they’re really hard to understand. Maybe my prompts weren’t clear enough?
It seems AI still isn’t as perfect as we thought. Could this be a limitation of the free version? Manus AI agent has been getting a lot of buzz lately. I’m eager to give it a shot, hoping for a much better experience.
