Have you ever heard of Valencia's Mercado Central? This market is not only one of the largest in Europe, but it also boasts an impressive architectural style of Valencian Art Nouveau. For today's MarketFriday, let's pay it a visit together!
The entire market is over 8000 square meters in size, with numerous intricate details both inside and outside. The ceiling looks especially striking lined with materials such as wood, iron, and ceramics. As you can see here, I took so many photos of it that my neck started to hurt.:p
The sun shone through the roof and window panels, making the spacious market appear bright and airy. It's such a delight to walk around inside, admiring the stunning structure and vivid murals, as well as being immersed in all the rich sights, sounds, and smells.
I tried pistachios in a huge date, a heavenly cheese cake, and a crunchy and chewy turrón... and the clementina juice was sweeter than love at first sight. Upon leaving, I also packed the local specialty paella Valenciana, yummylicious as always!
Aside from food stalls, the market also has souvenir shops and eateries. If you ever visit Valencia, trust me, this amazing market definitely worth your time. :)

整个市场面积超过八千平米，建筑内外都有很多精美的细节。内部的天花尤为引人注目，由木材、铁、陶瓷等材料制成。我在市场里到处走动时，一直抬头看和拍那些结构和壁画，脖子都仰酸了XD。暖暖的阳光透过屋顶和窗户照射进来，让宽敞的市场显得很亮堂。
除了欣赏叹为观止的建筑，当然也要吃吃吃。我买了好多小吃，比如裹着开心果的大枣、起司蛋糕、牛轧糖...... 还有甜过初恋的克里曼丁红橘汁（还记得查日本柚时已经凌乱过，刚刚查这个clementina发现果然又是杂交品种，由地中海红橘与甜橙杂交而成）。等到依依不舍必须离开的时候（因为要关门了），还打包了当地特色烩饭，西班牙烩饭据说就是起源于瓦伦西亚，当地特色的一般会加入兔肉和蜗牛等食材。
除了食品摊，大市场里还有纪念品商店和小餐馆。如果你以后到瓦伦西亚，记得去逛逛这个美美的中央市场哦~
