Last time, I showed you the quiet seaside of Petit Piquey, and for today's WednesdayThursdayWalk, let's go to another commune on the shore of Arcachon Bay.
Andernos-les-Bains, like other towns in the region, is known for oyster farms and fisheries. They are the primary source of income in this area. The oyster industry was harmed by various diseases and an oil spill in the 1970s, but it has been recovering since the turn of the century.
Tourism has grown in popularity in recent years, though it is not so busy in this season.
The photos in this post are from the port of Ostrécole, literally meaning "Oyster Port." There are a few long piers dotted with colourful cabins, the majority of which sell fresh oysters and other seafood.
上次在Petit Piquey安静的海边走了走,这回再到阿卡雄湾另一侧的一个小镇看看。
和这个地区的其他地方一样,Andernos-les-Bains的生蚝养殖和渔业也是主要收入来源。上世纪70年代,这个小镇的生蚝产业因为生蚝染病和原油泄漏等原因而受到影响大量减产,到本世纪初才逐渐恢复。
近年来,旅游业也开始兴盛,不过现在不是旺季,没有看到很多游客。
我这里的照片来自小镇的Ostréïcole港口,名字就是"生蚝港"的意思。这儿有几条码头,两边坐落着五颜六色的小棚屋,售卖新鲜生蚝和其他海鲜。
中午去码头觅食时正逢低潮,那些小艇和野鸭都搁浅在烂泥中,好多海草被冲刷到岸边。
